I started as a full-time nightclub DJ and after a decade transitioned to weddings. To date I've entertained 1000+ weddings to prepare for your celebration. Many of my past clients have described me as "the most un-wedding DJ, wedding DJ there is." I don’t conform to the typical stereotypes that may lurk in your nightmares after you attended bad weddings. This includes an exaggerated voice, a bunch of inflatable props, and I do not impose line dances and tacky clichés. I focus on ensuring that your plan for the day is solid and that you are confident I understand what is expected of me. I am your DJ, your MC, and your quality control planner.

You've seen the standard DJ spiel by now -- lots of talk about gear and lighting, microphones and timelines. I'm happy to talk about all those things, but I'm more interested in the two of you. What will make both of you tear up as you dance? What will bring the house down when it's time to party? What will make mom happy without evacuating the dance floor? Her journey started at the age of six years old, Melissa-May was surrounded by all aspects of creativity. Her ability to visualize things, put them onto paper and create anything from scratch was also apparent at a young age when she completed an illustration of her dream house, then constructed an entire floor plan and a model house made out of popsicle sticks. Furthermore, at the age of 12, her friend’s mother noticed Melissa-May’s gift of artistry and requested that she create cartoon place cards for her daughter’s Bat Mitzvah. She later was asked to create the invitations and centerpieces for her best friend’s Debutant ball.

It began with my mother really. She loved flowers, especially peonies, and planted them wherever we lived. As a child, I could not understand her passion for gardening, but when I became an adult, I came to understand the deeper truths about the language and enduring wonder of flowers. My love for cultivating flowers and creating English gardens grew into a professional gardening business which led to creating floral designs for weddings. In an endeavor to be the best I could be for my couples, I sought training and have had the privilege of being mentored by some of the top designers in the country.
