She’s so attentive and really tailors the look to the person. The moms at my wedding refused to book makeup. They insisted a makeup artist would make them look too overdone. After doing mine and my girls’ makeup, all the moms asked to be squeezed in. Not only did Lilly add 3 extra faces AT THE LAST MINUTE but she also took the time to ask them questions about what they liked/didn’t like to be sure to accommodate their preferences. Lilly has a wide range - from bold to natural. She did a fantastic job at both weddings and just brought such a great vibe. I highly highly recommend her!!”

When the music had to stop at the end of the night, the dance floor was still completely full and no one wanted it to end. He did a great job announcing the events of the night, made sure that our ceremony music was perfect, and he stuck to our wedding playlist with the exception for a couple guest requests (which we were happy to allow). Our day-of coordinators, Liz and Blair, were absolute stars. They just got us. The level of support and preparation during the pre-wedding stages was above and beyond what we ever expected. Our families and friends are still raving about how fantastic they were on the day-of. We also decided to add on content creation with Teri late in the process, and we are SO glad we did. She was amazing—funny, kind, unobtrusive, and everywhere at once without ever feeling like a camera was in our faces. A couple of days after the wedding, we received our raw video dump, and it is worth every single penny. I’ve spent hours reliving the day through all the behind-the-scenes moments she captured with our guests, family, and wedding party. She didn’t miss a thing. We can’t wait to see the short-form content she creates, but honestly, the raw footage alone already exceeded our hopes. We are genuinely obsessed with this team. “We had both our ceremony and reception at the District Winery in early December. When we went to visit the winery, we both loved how unique the space was compared with other venues. It was not the traditional ballroom, high ceilings, chandeliers, rounds with tablecloths to the ground. It was warm, inviting, and rustic. Kat, our event manager, was assigned to us to execute our wedding. It was beyond helpful to have someone from the venue to assist. As the event got closer there were so many decisions to make, but Kat helped tremendously. One example was food - bride’s dad really wanted pasta, but it was not an option on the food menu. Kat discussed with the chef and made it a possibility. Although we did not end up adding pasta, the chef made a special plate for the bride’s dad (he was the only one who really wanted the pasta). Overall, we had a great experience from the bride and groom perspective, but also many of our guests commented on how nice of a venue and the quality of the food.”

“My partner and I reached out to Xiao for an elopement photo shoot after we got our marriage license. Xiao is always prompt in her responses and offered seamless communication. As newbies, we were a bit confused about the steps on how to get the license, although it was not her job, Xiao gave us many tips. Our elopement photoshoot date was a bit rainy. Xiao offered a few indoor photoshoot spot options. We ultimately went with the Library of Congress, and Xiao even helped us reserve the tickets. Xiao instructed us on how to pose when we felt a bit awkward. We had so many random funny encounters with other visitors at Library of Congress and they gave us many compliments. Xiao went above and beyond to mark sure the day was special for us and that the photoshoot felt personal and fun. My partner is usually camera shy but he eventually opened up. The photos also turned around super quick. The photos came out beautiful although it was a gloomy day. We picked out a dozen photos of our choice two days after the photoshoot and Xiao made the edits turn around super smoothly. Highly recommend booking her to make your special day memorable as well!”

He was super focused, detail orientated, bilingual, fun and laid back. He captured so many incredible behind the scene moments and my family kept saying we didn’t even see him take that picture. We were nervous about not knowing how to pose. He made us so comfortable and had amazing poses. He captured intimate moments of our families reactions during the ceremony, speeches and partying. He helped the day flow so well and we couldn’t believe how amazing the pictures were. The turn around time for the pictures was also super fast. Our venue had the ceremony site, cocktail hour, and reception all in three separate areas, and DJ Neal was more than accommodating with his setup. Everything transitioned seamlessly and without any stress for us. He truly went above and beyond with the lighting setup as well. It completely transformed the space and looked incredible—it added so much to the overall atmosphere of the reception and the pricing was very inexpensive. Compared to other DJs we considered, his package options were incredibly well-priced for the level of service and quality he delivered. “My daughter and her husband chose Milton Ridge for their wedding venue. I live on the opposite coast so I had no opportunity to have a look myself. She and her husband were very happy with the layout of the property and the location. She assured me that staff were warm and friendly as well as very professional and that all questions were addressed promptly and in great detail. My daughter and her husband felt listened to and respected by everyone at Milton Ridge. I was anxious but it was their wedding and they had done a lot of research! I am overjoyed that they chose Milton Ridge for their very special day!! I spoke to many guests and family members that day and evening; everyone had high praise for the couple’s choice of venue. The property is self-contained with a beautiful turn of the century chapel on the lower level of the property and a very large bricked patio on the upper level; with an enormous wooden gazebo at one end and tiered garden area at the opposite end. Indoor or outdoor wedding?? Hard to choose as both areas are sooooo lovely. The Bridal suite and Grooms quarter are in a building adjacent to the chapel on the lower level of the property. Another turn of the century building with Bridal suite, porch and porch swing on the ground level and the Grooms quarters on the 2nd level via a private enclosed stairway; providing total privacy for both parties and their respective entourages. Both areas were very well appointed, comfortable and large; plenty of room for multiple people in each area to get ready for the big day! The Reception Hall was on the upper level with a porch and short stairway leading from the hall to the outdoor patio. The Hall was fresh and bright with plenty of room for DJ, tables, dance floor, bar and buffet without feeling overfilled or crowded. Bride and Groom chose the bar-b-que menu for their dinner; it was beautifully presented, delicious and plentiful. No one left Milton Ridge hungry that evening! The wait staff and bartenders were all very attentive and had obviously been very well trained at table service and bar service respectively. Music was provided by a DJ who was contracted by Milton Ridge and was included with the package that my daughter and her husband had chosen. The selection was a mix of old and new with the focus of getting the guests up and dancing. He was very good at his job and he accomplished his goal! Last but definitely not least; the photographer; also contracted with Milton Ridge! He was amazing!!! The unique shots, quality and beauty of his work left us speechless. He was everywhere, but never in the way, always inconspicuous and watching for that perfect candid shot. Even his posed photos had a very relaxed casual look about them. All photos were organized and available to the newlyweds on the Milton Ridge website within 10days of their wedding day!! ALL pictures belong to her and her husband to print, copy and share with whoever they wish!! Milton Ridge exceeded my expectation and I would never hesitate to recommend them to anyone!!”

She guided us through tasting samples and consultation calls with so much care, always staying considerate of our needs, making customizations, and advising us exactly where necessary. While our Red Velvet cake was absolutely delicious on the inside, and she added extra cookies to the cake after our follow-up consultation. We learned a tough lesson about deep-colored frosting. Cheryl warned us about the impacts of using heavy dye to achieve a burgundy exterior (as we wanted to avoid fondant), and we should have listened! The exterior ended up with a bit of a chemical taste and stained everything it touched. Take our advice: Cheryl knows her stuff! If she makes a suggestion on color or texture, trust her expertise—you’ll be in great hands. Aside from our own misunderstanding, the service and cake quality were wonderful.”
