Standing in the checkout line at Lowes, I saw a sign that read, "Happiness is doing what you love." Tears started to well in my eyes as I checked out, dreading returning to work that following Monday. I'll never forget how grateful and nervous I was filming my first wedding, but I was happy, knowing I was doing what I was meant to do and what I loved to do. The most important thing on a wedding day, other than the I Do's, is how beautiful the bride looks. My biggest goal and reward is making you feel beautiful and flawless on your big day. Over the years I have learned that only 5% of hairdressers actually enjoy doing bridal updos, and about half of those stylists are actually good at it. It takes a very creative and technical mind to look at a picture and recreate it on the palette of hair in front of them. Make sure you know what you're getting from your bridal stylist. For me, Wedding hair and makeup is my favorite thing to do. I've been practicing updos since I was 15 and I still love it!
