The custom groomsmen boxes were a great touch, packed with ties, socks, handkerchiefs, cigars, and bourbon, and they set the tone for the day. The massages were a game changer — I didn’t realize how much tension I was carrying until I was on the table, and afterward I felt calm, focused, and genuinely ready to take it all in. The grooming and styling were top-notch; I looked and felt my best, and it absolutely showed in the photos. Every detail was clean, classic, and elevated. We had a unique request for only candid photos throughout our three nights of events (we wanted the only posed photos to be quick group shots with family and friends right after our ceremony). She was so excited by the idea and over-delivered on all our wishes. She captured so many candid moments of my husband and me, of us celebrating with our dearest friends and family, and special moments of our guests that we hadn't gotten to see. The photos came out so beautifully, it's hard to believe they were truly candid and unplanned. It was such a gift to have these memories preserved; going through our wedding albums was like re-living all three days because she captured us in the middle of the memories as we made them. She has such an incredible talent and ability to capture the essence of each person she photographs. “Lauren did my hair for my wedding in November 2024. Not only was it a windy day by the water, we also had a very rowdy dance floor. My hair lasted through all of it, even looking good enough to keep wearing it for the farewell brunch we hosted the next day. It was also important to me that my hair would be touchable and soft without that hair spray crunch, and Lauren delivered! All of my bridesmaids (she helped with 6 girls that morning, including friends with thick/very curly hair) were ecstatic with their hair. Aside from just being talented, Lauren is also one of the most genuine, down to earth, and kind people you’ll ever meet. Could recommend her more highly!”

From the moment we reached out, the staff, especially Alison and Taylor, were incredibly responsive and great listeners as we planned our special day. The venue itself is open, stunning water views, breath taking sunsets and beautifully appointed with fireplaces that created a warm and cozy atmosphere. We got married last month, January, and our guest could not stop telling us how much they loved the fireplaces and views. I chose this venue because of the fireplace, views, and chandeliers. I scheduled our ceremony during the sun set and it was more than I could have ever expected. The food was amazing, and the entire team worked efficiently to ensure our wedding day went off without a hitch. I did add the clam chowder and clam cakes to our cocktail hour and all the guests have raved about how good the clam cakes were! In my opinion they are better than Iggy’s. Yes, I said that! We couldn't have asked for a more perfect setting to celebrate our marriage. I highly recommend doing the ceremony and taking pictures during the sunset! As a reference - we had worked with another photographer before that did not have this touch, and the photos came out very stoic and awkward as a result. Beyond her incredible photography talent, Hedi helped take on extra responsibilities that eased the burden on our bridal party, family, and planner. “I can’t say enough good things about Little Gold! I am so glad I decided to get ready here instead of at a hotel or airbnb. The suite was absolutely perfect for my wedding morning. It’s spacious, beautifully designed, and filled with great natural light. The space is so peaceful and I felt calm and relaxed all morning. There was plenty of room for everyone to get ready and hang out and it had everything we could have needed, from a steamer to a speaker. “The Bohlin was the perfect venue for our wedding day. We got married in a nearby church and had the cocktail hour and reception at the Bohlin. The planning team was so professional and easy to work with from day one. I had multiple phone calls before signing the contract essentially going line-by-line to make sure I fully knew and understood what was and was not included (would recommend doing this with any venue). Although the minimums are pretty steep, the high-quality inclusions and mostly all-in-one package made it completely worth it. The venue can speak for itself! It is a gorgeous waterfront hidden in the heart of downtown Newport. One of our priorities was easy logistics for our guests and this was a perfect location for that. Our other priority was good food and let me tell you, Newport Restaurant Group is top notch. Our guests raved for weeks about the quality of the food. The last thing I'll highlight is how personalized it felt throughout the wedding planning process. The whole time it felt like ours was the only wedding they were planning during a peak month of June. We are thrilled we chose The Bohlin for our special day.”
