“Lauren did my hair for my wedding in November 2024. Not only was it a windy day by the water, we also had a very rowdy dance floor. My hair lasted through all of it, even looking good enough to keep wearing it for the farewell brunch we hosted the next day. It was also important to me that my hair would be touchable and soft without that hair spray crunch, and Lauren delivered! All of my bridesmaids (she helped with 6 girls that morning, including friends with thick/very curly hair) were ecstatic with their hair. Aside from just being talented, Lauren is also one of the most genuine, down to earth, and kind people you’ll ever meet. Could recommend her more highly!”

From the moment we reached out, the staff, especially Alison and Taylor, were incredibly responsive and great listeners as we planned our special day. The venue itself is open, stunning water views, breath taking sunsets and beautifully appointed with fireplaces that created a warm and cozy atmosphere. We got married last month, January, and our guest could not stop telling us how much they loved the fireplaces and views. I chose this venue because of the fireplace, views, and chandeliers. I scheduled our ceremony during the sun set and it was more than I could have ever expected. The food was amazing, and the entire team worked efficiently to ensure our wedding day went off without a hitch. I did add the clam chowder and clam cakes to our cocktail hour and all the guests have raved about how good the clam cakes were! In my opinion they are better than Iggy’s. Yes, I said that! We couldn't have asked for a more perfect setting to celebrate our marriage. I highly recommend doing the ceremony and taking pictures during the sunset! As a reference - we had worked with another photographer before that did not have this touch, and the photos came out very stoic and awkward as a result. Over 1000 photos from Hedi later and not one awkward one - each one was so full of life and beauty that it instantly transports you back to the moment and makes you smile! Hedi has a warm and approachable demeanor, but she knows how to maintain authority amongst what can be crazy family dynamics, keep on track, and expertly adhere to deadlines, ensuring everything ran smoothly, which was especially important and crucial on our wedding day. Beyond her incredible photography talent, Hedi helped take on extra responsibilities that eased the burden on our bridal party, family, and planner. Everyone at our event loved her personality, enthusiasm, and complimented her amazing work ethic and professionalism. Hedi did absolutely everything in her power to make our day as special as possible, and we are so honored and grateful to have had her as our photographer. After the wedding, Hedi delivered sneak peals on just a couple of days, and our full gallery within 2 months. “From day one Regatta Place was the best! From Susanne helping us find the perfect venue within the Newport Experience Group, to Maggie & Maggie helping us along the way and on our wedding day. Even with COVID they were amazing; they kept us informed as to the ever changing state-mandated regulations and let us know how they were adapting to comply with the new rules. On the day of the wedding I had zero stress because everything had been going so smoothly that I had no worries about anything. They helped with the flow of the evening and made sure that my husband and I were well taken care of. Additionally, I heard from several guests how impressed they were with the safety precautions Regatta Place had taken for COVID and how safe/comfortable they felt that they ended up staying longer than they had planned to. “We had our engagement party at Little Gold and it was phenomenal. Our guests fell in love with Little Gold, as we did the moment we walked inside. Des and Sierra are so wonderful to work with and they have an eye for detail. Every single inch is picture perfect. I highly recommend hosting your event at Little Gold! It's a very magical place and immediately makes you feel right at home. For our party we hired a bartender, used Scratch Catering for food and we made the appetizers ourselves. We also brought our own decorations and it was just lovely making the space our own with our touches. I can't wait to host many, many more events there! I would give Little Gold 100 stars if I could.”

They followed up with us within 3 hours outside of regular business hours and were immediately responding to follow-up questions thereafter. They were prompt, accommodating, and the event was perfect. The patio is a beautiful space for an event in prime location of downtown Newport. “My husband and I were married on 5/10/2025 and it was the greatest day of our lives and a big part of that was thanks to Joe and the Hudson Horns. Joe is easy to work with and extremely accommodating. We threw varying music tastes at him and requested to have him mix in Croatian music for our family and they knocked it out of the park. Joe truly has a gift. There was a perfect blend of music to keep people of all ages on the dance floor and it’s not the typical wedding music you’re used to. It was so refreshing to have a variety of different music rather than the same thing you hear at every wedding. From the time the dance floor opened, there was not a single person in their seats the whole time. Joe and the horns helped keep the energy high and everyone dancing. It’s been a month and we are still hearing from all of our guests about how good the music selection was and how they couldn’t get enough of the horns. Look no further and book Joe for your event- you won’t regret it. Also, highly recommend, getting the 4 piece horns to work alongside Joe. Separately Joe is fantastic and the horns are fantastic but together it is an experience like non-other.”

“The online planning forms made it easy to plan out our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. We had several specific requests that DJ Rick was able to accommodate. We wanted classic rock for the majority of our cocktail hour and created a list of artists for Rick to work from which he played the perfect set. The music was a true reflection of us which is exactly what we wanted. We had a great time dancing the night away with our family and friends. The uplighting was beautiful and helped enhance our venue. The photo booth was worth every penny, our guests could not get enough of it! We would highly recommend Arpeggio if music is important to you! The entertainment can make or break your wedding and Arpeggio knocked it out of the park and we still have guests talking about how much fun they had at our wedding!”

Ariana was our contact person for all of our vendors to alleviate the stress and burden of many, many emails which made the wedding planning process for us that much more enjoyable. There was even an issue with the person that was supposed to bring our dog Luna to our first look location. We, as the bride and groom, didn’t even realize it was an issue until the following day that Luna was not going to be able to be brought back to our home nearby by the dog company we hired. “The Bohlin was the perfect venue for our wedding day. We got married in a nearby church and had the cocktail hour and reception at the Bohlin. The planning team was so professional and easy to work with from day one. I had multiple phone calls before signing the contract essentially going line-by-line to make sure I fully knew and understood what was and was not included (would recommend doing this with any venue). Although the minimums are pretty steep, the high-quality inclusions and mostly all-in-one package made it completely worth it. The venue can speak for itself! It is a gorgeous waterfront hidden in the heart of downtown Newport. One of our priorities was easy logistics for our guests and this was a perfect location for that. Throughout my entire planning process, I could always count on her for a prompt response with answers to any questions I had or resolutions to any new requests and concerns I'd throw her way. Being able to have full trust in Rachel was really the greatest gift I could ask for. She made the process so stress-free and it's worth mentioning she's super sweet and a joy to be around!
