“Blend was incredible! The food was absolutely delicious and the staff was super friendly and efficient. We are foodies and catering was an important decision for our day; Blend exceeded all our expectations and we are so happy with our choice. Everything was so fresh and we are beyond impressed with what they were able to do in a pop-up kitchen at our off-the-grid venue. Blend has an extensive menu of options that can be a bit intimidating, but they happily work with you to build your dream menu and to tweak things to your vision. A tasting is included with your booking and we highly recommend taking advantage of it! It was extremely helpful in narrowing down & tweaking some items on our menu. Pro tip: don’t taste the things that you know you’re going to go for (for us, that was the short ribs); use the tasting to choose the sides and dishes you aren’t confident in! We started off with Asian inspired appetizers and hands down our collective favorite item of the night were the Bao Buns! They were so light and fluffy and had an amazing pork filling and gochujang sauce. We also went off-menu with veggie spring rolls that were a favorite for our vegetarian guests. Our main course included duck and short ribs, which were both delicious, but the stars of the plate were the seasonal succotash and rosemary brown butter smashed potatoes. We opted to include late night food service, which featured breakfast burritos and chicken and waffle bites. Worth noting: our off-the-grid venue didn’t have an oven, so we had to rent one for Blend to use (we rented through Celebrations). This will be an additional budget line item if you’re hosting an off-the-grid event. All in all, the talented team put together an amazing variety of food that we are still dreaming about. We loved working with Blend and cannot recommend them enough!”

From the very beginning Jerod was energetic, positive, extremely responsive, communicative, detail-oriented, professional, and most importantly you could tell that he genuinely cares. He cared about understanding what the bride and groom wanted, he cared about making the entire day special and smooth, and he cared about making sure that the dance floor was packed and had great vibes all night long. He was proactive and prompt about working with my other vendors and I always felt at ease that he was handling everything that he needed to. We had 4 different locations (ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, dance floor) where he set up his audio/emcee equipment plus a photo booth near the dance area. Everything was totally smooth, great audio quality, and he was super professional and fun for the parts that he emceed (introducing wedding party, speeches, even cake cutting, etc). A few memories stand out to me that were made possible by Jerod: - My husband and I did a first dance that started out slow and then turned more upbeat and ended with him picking me up as the beat drops and all of our friends rushing on the dance floor. At that moment, Jerod had coordinated the lights to go from soft whole-room lighting so that everyone could watch the first dance to dark/party uplighting when the beat dropped and everyone rushed in. It was awesome and so memorable and fun! - Jerod let me and my husband DJ behind the booth for a song which was so fun and out guests loved it! - He also coordinated for us to have a private last dance as our guests headed to the after-party, and that private moment at the end of the night was so special. I highly recommend JAM entertainment and am so thankful I had them on my wedding day”

“We celebrated our wedding at The Hytch at Sierra Water Gardens, and I truly cannot say enough good things about our experience. From the very beginning, I was completely blown away. Yeliz and our coordinator, Gina, were absolutely incredible. They are some of the kindest, most thoughtful, and genuinely caring people I’ve ever worked with. Throughout the entire process, they made my husband and me feel so comfortable and supported. They were always flexible with scheduling meetings, understanding with payments, and incredibly attentive whenever I had questions (or wedding-planning anxieties!). I always felt heard, reassured, and taken care of. Gina absolutely nailed my vision. I showed her a Pinterest board, and she brought it to life beyond anything I could have imagined. The florals were stunning — and the team even made me smaller bouquets to take home afterward, which was such a thoughtful touch. The entire staff was professional, sweet, and so accommodating to both us and our families. The venue itself is pure magic. The Hytch spans the breathtaking Sierra Water Gardens and backs up to the Truckee River, which makes for the most gorgeous and unique setting. The moment I walked in, I was speechless. It was everything I had dreamed of and more. One of the biggest gifts they gave us was peace of mind. For an incredible value, you get the entire venue AND their team fully handles setup and breakdown of décor. That level of support allowed me to actually be present on my wedding day instead of worrying about logistics. I cannot overstate how much that meant to me. We did experience one small hiccup the day of (our officiant was double-booked and arrived late), but The Hytch team handled it with such grace. They pivoted quickly and generously allowed our celebration to run later so we didn’t lose any time. It meant so much that they cared about making our day whole. Overall, the entire process was smooth, joyful, and truly breathtaking. I’m beyond grateful for the care, creativity, and hard work that went into making our wedding so beautiful and perfect. I would recommend The Hytch a thousand times over — and I will absolutely be finding another reason to celebrate there again.”

She was also absolutely amazing. Coordinating little details the weeks leading up to the wedding, And most importantly She kept everything in check the day of. Everyone made the planning process so easy and comfortable. The venue is gorgeous, and the food is beyond amazing. The set up was more than perfect. I don’t think our wedding would of been as amazing as it was if we had booked elsewhere.”
