I have been photographing weddings all over the U.S. for going on 8 years. I want your wedding day to be celebrated as you enter into such a special covenant, but I don't want it to feel like a giant photoshoot.

Mel is exceptional at everything she does. She goes above and beyond for her brides in every aspect of the wedding day. All while capturing and delivering the greatest photos that will be cherished for a lifetime. BEFORE YOU SHARE YOUR STORY… LET ME TELL YOU MINE! Since I was a child, I have taken photographs of everyday and every moment in my life. My life's work is creating photographs that tell stories of moments and happenings in the lives of my clients. I have been photographing portraits professionally since 2015. Why portrait photography? I am thrilled to have a job that allows me to explore my creativity while documenting significant moments in my clients' lives. I am grateful every day to have such a fulfilling job.

We loved having Shelby do our photos. She was easy to work with even though we weren’t ready to start taking photos at the time we planned on, she helped us to stay on track and we were able to start on time. We received all the specific pictures we wanted of our big day! Couldn’t have asked for better!

Flower and oak were absolutely amazing. They showed up extremely early for our event and we had the highest premium package ordered for the day. We had a couple specific shoot ideas for THE GROOMSMEN and the minute I walked in the front door. I was greeted by both videographers With all kinds of cool camera gear and they told us exactly what to do and there was no time wasted. I highly recommend flower and oak to anyone looking at getting married soon. The one thing I don’t regret about our wedding day is using them because they were so great. Flower Moxie – Do-It-Yourself Wedding Flowers
Rating: 4.9 (78 reviews)
  • Florist
  • Starts at $350
  • Serves Taloga, OK

In 2013, 8-year wedding veteran Amy McCord Jones realizes she wouldn't be able to afford to hire her own floral services if she was a bride. Then, Amy discovers that there is basically zero help available for DIY brides. No flower recipes. No instructions. No access to florist-grade blooms. Rude. So she launches Flower Moxie! Flower Moxie remains a humble, tucked-away small business out of Oklahoma City. We don’t zoom around on scooters in some fancy high-rise. We stock an average kitchen with canned wine and Aldi chips and listen to true crime podcasts while photographing curvy ranunculus. Join us. There’s cake, hugs, and acceptance here.

Awarded Best of Zola
We were on a strict budget for our wedding. I knew that florals would be the best way to save on some of the huge wedding costs. I found out about Flower Moxie from googling where I would get wholesale flowers. I was immediately hooked once I saw the flower options, tutorials, and worksheets to help plan out my special day. I am very big on organization, and this website had resources for every step of the way. I found the perfect combination of flowers for my boho wedding. I ordered the flowers about 2 months before our big day. It was a destination wedding, so I was checking into our airbnb on the day the flowers were arriving. I had them scheduled to be delivered at the Fedex holding center near by. I thought the company only used Fedex shipping based on my research. I went into full panic mode when I saw the flowers had been shipped by UPS. I immediately called UPS and Fedex, and to be honest I was stunned at the behavior on the other side of the phone. The flowers were still in transit, and no one would help me with rerouting. I called Flower Moxie to see if they could change things on their side as they were the sender. Luis answered the phone and it felt like I finally had someone looking out for me. I had already spent 4 hours on the phone with the shipping companies and gotten nowhere. Luis said he was on it and not to worry. I ordered enough flowers for 18 centerpieces, 70 bud vases, 8 bouquets, and 1 flower arch. Needless to say, it was quite the ordeal to reroute everything. Over the next 48 hours, Luis kept in constant contact with me about the progress of the shipment. I know I was on the phone for at least 6 hours with this ordeal, and I wouldn't be surprised if he had spent about 15 hours talking to UPS, Fedex, florists, and customs to get me my flowers. He made me feel calm and taken care of. Everyone was coming to me with questions and concerns the entire wedding week, and I can't express how it felt to have someone have my back, and take an extremely big tasks off my plate. I would absolutely recommend this company for DIY brides. And I hope this review is seen by Flower Moxie to highlight an outstanding employee with excellent customer service. In an age when it takes time and multiple attempts in order to talk to a person on the phone, I am so appreciative of the effort that was given by Luis for my wedding day. He made me feel like it was an important event for him too. Thank you Luis for making my wedding dreams come true! My sister also mentioned you in her MOH wedding speech. We were all impressed :)

I was so grateful to have found Jen while going through our flower-picking-process. We got a quote for real flowers to start and it was way out of our budget. When we started looking for 'fake' flowers, I knew I wanted them to look as real as possible. I must have looked at 10 different vendors across CT and MA, and as soon as I saw Wood & Word Blooms website I was sold! Her bouquets are one of a kind, each and every piece was perfect for our wedding. She was so supportive and helpful in the color picking process, I changed my mind a few times but she never batted an eye. She got us to the finish line and we couldn't be happier. If you're on the fence, just go with Jen!

Hi, I’m Isaac. In my world, light is everything. The cool ambient hues at dawn, hinting at what the day may bring. Golden sun rays catching particles through a tree as friends gathers to celebrate. A Cotton candy sunset peppered by patio string-lights as a DJ plays my favorite song. We all have timeless memories logged in our minds. For me, they are based in a language of light. As a wedding photographer, this deep connection to special lighting helps me produce dynamic visual stories of romance, personality and beauty.

Awarded Best of Zola
A few things that stood out the most about Isaac were how responsive he was, how he was able to accommodate to our budget, and how he took pictures from angles and views that turned out great on the photos. As a couple with demanding careers, I much appreciated how quickly Isaac was with replying to emails. We had a pretty tight budget, and Isaac was able to offer us a package that landed pretty close to our budget and only had the items that we needed the most (mini engagement photoshoot for the website and wedding day). Our ask for him was to get some candid shots as we feel pretty awkward in front of the camera. I personally think that the wedding day pictures came out more naturally because of the setting being surrounded with friends and families, and Isaac and Sushen did a great job capturing the candid moments beautifully. Isaac even had an idea for me to pose by climbing up a wooden stair ladder for a shot that I honestly wasn't sure how it was going to turn out while doing it, but it ended up turning out beautiful and magazine-like in addition to other ones that he asked us to pose for. Isaac put together a behind the scenes video that also showed the reactions of guests to our photo place cards before we had entered the reception area, and this was lovely in that we got to see our guests' reactions that we weren't able to see.

Canyon & Pine: Wedding Photography + Films
Rating: 5.0 (24 reviews)
  • Photographer
  • Classic style
  • Starts at $2,700
  • Serves Taloga, OK

Emma & her team have been photographing weddings for 13 years, building Canyon & Pine as a husband-and-wife studio rooted in experience. Before weddings, Emma worked as a photojournalist — a background that still shapes the way she sees a wedding day unfold: quickly, intuitively, and with an eye for the moments that matter long after the cake is gone. Their work balances artful candids with guided portraits that feel natural, romantic, and genuinely fun. The editing is timeless, and the priority is always the same: the people. Parents. Grandparents. Best friends. The faces you’ll want framed when the years start to stack up.

Awarded Best of Zola
Where do I even begin? Hiring Emma (and the Canyon & Pine team) was, without question, one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. From the first message, Emma made us feel seen, understood, and genuinely cared for—not just as clients, but as people. Her warmth, clarity, and professionalism stood out right away. She was never pushy or salesy—just honest, open, and full of heart. You can feel how much she loves what she does, and that passion shines through every step of the way. Planning with her was such a gift. She took the time to get to know us as a couple, asked thoughtful questions, and helped build a timeline that felt intentional and realistic. We had no idea how much a great photographer could shape the rhythm of the day, but Emma guided us with total ease. She helped us make decisions we didn’t even know we needed to make—like the best time for a first look or how to slip away for sunset portraits without missing the dance floor. Every call and email left us feeling more prepared and genuinely excited. She was organized without being rigid, confident without being controlling, and always a joy to talk to. Her communication was flawless—fast responses, clear expectations, and tons of insight from someone who truly knows weddings inside and out. On the day itself, she was pure magic. She showed up calm, ready, and creative. She struck this beautiful balance between leading and stepping back—giving just enough direction to help us feel confident in front of the camera (and we are not camera people), while still letting real, candid moments unfold. Nothing felt forced. Just natural and authentic and beautifully captured. There’s a steadiness to her presence that put everyone at ease—not just us, but our families, wedding party, and even the more chaotic guests. She got beautiful portraits of our parents, caught blink-and-you-miss-it moments with our friends, and wrangled our huge, goofy bridal party without breaking a sweat. Her team was just as wonderful—kind, professional, totally in sync. You can tell they’re not just skilled, but genuinely care. And then the gallery arrived. I’m not exaggerating—we screamed. Every photo was stunning—true to color, thoughtfully composed, and full of emotion. We saw ourselves in these photos in a way we never have before. They weren’t overly trendy or filtered. They were timeless, honest, vibrant, and full of life. You could feel the intention behind each frame—the lighting, the angles, the storytelling. She delivered everything with care and artistry, and the gallery was so easy to navigate and share. People haven’t stopped talking about our photos. We’ve had so many guests tell us they’re some of the best they’ve ever seen—and we agree. More than anything, Emma is just an incredible human. Kind, thoughtful, funny—she pours her heart into every wedding she takes on. We never felt like “just another client.” She treated our day with the same care and intention we did, and that made all the difference. If you’re on the fence—don’t be. Book her. Book her yesterday. You’re not just hiring someone to take pretty pictures. You’re bringing in someone who will support you, advocate for you, and create heirlooms you’ll treasure for the rest of your life. We’re forever grateful. Thank you, Emma.
