“I cannot recommend Sophie enough for wedding make up. My wife and I used Sophie as our makeup artist for ourselves, our two moms, and my sister-in-law. Getting your make up done is an intimate process and sets the tone for the entire day and with Sophie there I felt beautiful and comfortable the whole time. We were not able to do a make up trial due to my schedule so she worked with me prior to my wedding day via zoom to make sure she knew exactly what I wanted. She sent me examples and helped me articulate my vision and even tried the looks on herself so that I could see them come to life. On the day of I felt so glam and powerful. My look lasted through performances and lots of dancing and my pictures from the end of the night are still STUNNING with no touch ups required (though she did provide us with the cutest touch up kits) My wife’s style and comfort with make up is much different than mine so she did a make up trial and Sophie helped her to find a look that was “wedding glam” but still felt authentic. Our looks were very different and incredibly “us” and showed off Sophie’s range and talent. Logistically, she is a complete professional with high end products that she organizes for ease of use and hygiene. Though my make up ran much longer than intended, she had anticipated that and so we still finished exactly on time. I never felt rushed or stressed - only like an absolute queen. It was the perfect way to start my wedding day and was worth every single penny.”

“Worked with Matt and the GBE team for my wedding in September. We worked closely with Matt (our dj/MC) since the first introductory call and he was so friendly and SO helpful throughout the whole wedding process. We loved that there was a questionnaire to fill out about any detail you can think about for the wedding (a lot of ones we didnt even think about until seeing it on the questionnaire!). After completion of that and about 1-2 months before the wedding we had another video call to review everything and Matt listened so well to our taste. He understood what songs we wanted to be played and what were absolute no's during the wedding. Whatever you wanted - he will listen! Now to the wedding day. We pretty much did not leave that dance floor, only to breath and get a drink here and there because you gotta rest. Voices were lost by the end of the night and that is the best sign there is to a great night. The music was amazing. Vibes were spectacular. Lighting was great. Such a great dance floor and music!!! He also had 2 other guys helping out and they were an incredible team! They bring the energy to the wedding and it was just absolutely amazing. We also did the Photo Booth through them and the quality of those pictures were amazing!!! Also the man running the Photo Booth - he was AMAZING. Sometimes you run out of poses when doing the Photo Booth but this man did not let that happen! He guided you on what pose to hit and it was so helpful. That could be looked at as a small little help but it's such a BIG help. The Photo Booth had a line all night long. We also did the late night snacks (Wendy's) and the guy who set up and manned it was so incredibly nice. He did a great job and kept whatever we wanted off to the side so he was sure we were able to get some ourselves and not miss. It was the perfect touch after hours of drinking to have that snack when leaving.”

“If you're looking for the photographer to capture all the love and joy you feel with your special person, I'm here to tell you, this is it. You found him. Does the idea of spending thousands of dollars for wedding photos scare you, because you can't see the photos right away, no refunds, no exchanges, no returns, and no do-overs, you are not alone. Do the scary thing. Invest your money on a photographer, but make sure you book Jason Rhee. I had a visual aesthetic in mind, but I also wasnt sure how to describe it. As a hobby photographer who mostly takes pictures of her dogs, or snaps pretty scenery and yummy food on vacation, I didnt know how to find to find somebody to capture our special day with the same romantic, yet slightly silly POV. I follow David Suh on IG, because he makes it look fun and easy to get photos you can proudly display, but we couldnt afford to fly him out for our wedding. We wanted somebody who gave similar energy. Instead, I spent hours on Google, Zola, Wedding Wire, the Knot, Reddit, Instagram, and reached out to Facebook groups like Subtle Asian Weddings and Ologies for inspiration. After weeks of pouring through lists of local photographers, reading price packages, scouring albums/portfolios/pages trying to find examples to describe the aesthetic I was looking for, and looking for photographers who evoke the same emotion, I found Jason Rhee. We set up a meeting, he passed the vibe check with flying colors. We had 6 months to plan our reception. We were on a budget. We needed somebody familiar with photographing not one, but three dogs at a wedding. We had an intimate (under 40ppl) wedding, with a LOT of camera-shy introverts (ourselves included!), and we wanted to get amazing pictures but have no experience posing in front of the camera. Where do we put our hands? What is our best angle? Is there enough light at the venue? Should I be serious, serene, or laughing? Don't worry, book Jason Rhee. Jason made the process of working together very easy and it felt like a true collaboration. He helped us plan within our budget. He was as invested as we were in creating our timeline, ensuring we had time for the photos we wanted, and understanding our wedding photography priorities. He provided prompts!!! He also coordinated with our videographer. Everything was clearly outlined in the contract. Our teaser album was done about two weeks after the reception (rest of the album should be done in another two weeks, which is amazing turnaround time considering the hundreds if not thousands of photos taken that day) I’ve always been self-conscious in front of a camera, but Jason was the best at boosting my confidence and posing us in a way that felt natural and look beautiful. We had many laughs along the way. Sadly, one of pups passed shortly before the big day, so we had to make it through one of the saddest months, alongside the chaos of planning our big day. Jason navigated it all with grace and went the extra mile to make sure we got all the photos we were hoping for. We got so many compliments (both during and after the wedding) from friends and family.”
