Mawali “DJ Infidel” Roberts “Curator of memories and a feel-good atmosphere.” That’s how Mawali describes himself as a DJ. Never afraid to go too deep, his emotive musical selections are his own therapy.

Having grown up in the melting pot of Queens, NY listening to a combination of his West Indian roots (Reggae, Calypso, Dancehall, Afrobeats), synth-infused 80s music (Depeche Mode, A-Ha), 90s Rock (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Nirvana), Latin music (Bachata, Merengue, Reggaeton) … all which became infused with his own love for both Hip-Hop, R&B and Pop music, Mawali ended up with quite a mixed spectrum of musical influences. Today, this translates into sets where he picks apart and infuses together all the pieces of the music that he loves best.
