Hi! My name is Steve. I do visual storytelling. I’m married with three kids and in my spare time I record music and build things. I've been filming and photographing weddings since 2009. I love travel and getting to know unique couples.

I like to use a variety of methods to capture a wedding. I like to use film when I can. Instant, medium format, super8, etc. I also offer video services, and packages that combine photo and video. I'm also a licensed drone pilot.

Cannot recommend Birchfields enough. Steve filmed our wedding, and the video completely blew us away -- truly more than we ever could’ve imagined. He was an absolute joy to work with and honestly made our wedding day even better just by being there. :) We were lucky enough to have him take some family photos later on too, and they are just beautiful. Seriously, do yourself a favor and go with Birchfields. You’ll be so glad you did.

We hired Steven and his team to do our wedding photos and videography. I really wanted a photographer that could capture the soul of the event, and Steven did exactly that. His photos are full of life, and I shared so many portraits with guests that actually got printed out or posted online. If you're looking for hundreds of photos of your wedding party that look exactly the same and for every planned second to be documented, Steven is not your person. If you're looking to hit the big moments but focus on capturing raw moments with timeless photos to get framed, I couldn't recommend them more. I never thought I would get a wedding video because it always seemed cheesy to me. But after watching examples of his work I fell absolutely in love with his videos. I've honestly had a hard time watching ours because it evokes so much emotion. Steven was collaborative and willing to go with the flow. We gave him the difficult task of being prepared for 3 different locations with totally differing lighting (indoor/outdoor plus shooting from high sun into the night). He puts an immense amount of care into his work and the photos are truly art that we will cherish forever. If there are specific things you want covered, be sure to share a list. When it comes to capturing the moments that can't be planned, he is on the case!

Steve captured the best day of our lives in a way that totally exceeded our expectations. He is professional, down to earth, and an incredibly talented photographer. We will be admiring these photos for decades to come, and feel so fortunate to have found such a great person to capture our wedding.
