Hi I'm Kieran! I'm an inclusive luxury Photographer in St. Paul, MN but I love traveling all over the state! I specialize in Weddings, Couples and Boudoir Photography. I LOVE love! If theres a moment I can capture that involes a loving glance at your partner while you dance on your wedding day or a transformative moment while doing boudoir that makes you remember WHO you are- I want to be the one to capture that emotion <3

My style is Moody, Rich Color Tones and Authenic Cinematic moments. I absolutely love the beauty of dark romance and a little edge and whismy to photos. With Black Gem, your photos will absolutely feel like you and the essence of your love but with a little moody edge and romance to them. My approach is very fun and easy; you don't need to know how to pose at all and with th4e direction and prompted actions I give, you won't even remember a camera is there! Our wedding photography experience with Kieran at Black Gem Photography out of St. Paul, Mn was absolutely exceptional. As an older couple planning a more traditional wedding, it was important to us that our photographer truly understand the tone and meaning of the day—and Kieran exceeded every expectation. From the very beginning, she was an outstanding communicator. Before the wedding she took the time to understand exactly what we envisioned, during the day she guided everything seamlessly, and after the wedding she kept us informed every step of the way. The entire experience was fun, stress-free, and truly perfect. Kieran has an incredible talent for making everyone feel comfortable. She made us and our guests feel relaxed and at ease, which shows beautifully in the photos. The candid moments she captured perfectly reflect our love and the joy of the day. At the same time, the timing and composition of the more traditional shots were flawless. The variety of styles she delivered was wonderful—bright and airy images, romantic and intimate portraits, and so many genuine candid moments that tell the story of our wedding day. Every photo feels natural, heartfelt, and timeless. Her post-wedding process was just as impressive. The editing, preview gallery, and final delivery were all top-notch and beyond anything we expected. We cannot recommend Kieran with Black Gem Photography highly enough. I spent so long planning our wedding day and even though it was freezing and rained, Black Gem captured every moment so perfectly that the rain felt magical and meant to be rather than a setback. Everyone felt comfortable and confident, and it showed in the photos. She left nothing to chance and came with posing ideas and great backdrop spots in a venue she’d never been to. I’ve even booked with her after because she’s that good and makes me feel like myself.

From the very first interaction, Black Gem Photography's communication style was direct, clear, and simple. They were amazing at explaining their process and setting expectations for our wedding day.
