Kaitlin Toto Photography

I'd give Kaitlyn Toto 100 stars if I could. I first met Ktoto at my sisters wedding, and was blown away by her professionalism, style, personality, and just how much fun and energy she brought to the environment. It was a no-brainer to have her photograph my wedding the following year, especially where I had a NYE wedding and wanted that same energy and style, yet with class and professionalism. The entire experience - from initial meetings, to engagement photos, to the wedding day, and everything in between - was both seamless while she also just completely understood and delivered the vision we wanted. I not only had a fantastic photographer there to capture my dream and vision, but I also had a mini-therapist, hype-woman, and paparazzi all wrapped in one. Kaitlyn arrives early, stays late, gets along with everyone while also being your biggest advocate, and isn't afraid to get on the floor or up in the air when you decide to crowd surf. Not to even mention the pictures we got were absolutely stunning and memorialized the day perfectly. I cannot recommend Ktoto Photo enough for your wedding or anything other event, and DEFINITELY recommend her if you are planning one on NYE! She is just the BEST, and my second photographer who she brought with her, Jo Sorrell, is also just as amazing too!!!!!

It is hard to know where to begin! Perhaps I will start by saying that if Kaitlin were not our photographer, she would have been a fabulous guest. My partner and I were not only comfortable with Kaitlin, but absolutely delighted to be talking and collaborating with her. She is smart, attentive, funny, and has a beautiful eye for detail. I spent a lot of the morning getting ready laughing with my friends and Kaitlin. I have never been married before, so I am not sure if your photographer always feels like a friend, but we are so lucky ours did.

I knew we needed to book Kaitlin from the second I found her Zola profile, but it was completely solidified by our meet and greet meeting. Kaitlin is exactly as described. So personal, completely herself, open and transparent, I could go on and on. One of the biggest things that sold us with Kaitlin (besides her work) was the fact that she gave us advice on what to look for/questions to ask with other photography vendors while we were on our hunt. We had our engagement photos in October in Boothbay Harbor and we are actually located in Western Mass. I had ideas in my head about what would work and Kaitlin made the drive to check out the locations and ensure they actually would. One of my locations wasn't the best lighting wise and she gave multiple other options to get similar looks. We actually ended up doing some downtown photos which are some of my favorites (which is a little a lie because I am obsessed with all of them). I read in multiple of Kaitlin's reviews that she makes awkward people comfortable behind the camera and I am here to say it is true. I was so stressed going into things, worried my hair looked bad, we wouldn't get *the* shot, we would look weird, etc. Kaitlin immediately asked me what my worries were and I felt so at ease. Working with Kaitlin felt like working with with a lifelong friend who really has it all together and is such a professional. I truly know that our wedding day is going to be that much better knowing she is going to be there documenting it all.

We had the best wedding photos thanks to Kaitlin! She is so personable and kept everything light and fun as we moved through the most special day. Kaitlin beautifully captured the love of our closest friends and family and gave us memories to last a lifetime!

Kaitlin is amazing to work with. As a photographer who has done weddings myself, I had high standards and specific requests that weeded out a lot of people during my search. Kaitlin immediately stood out to me as someone with the ability to capture the essence of a couple. As I browsed her galleries I felt like I knew the couples and their stories by the time I was done. My wife and I are very introverted, shy, and not used to being the center of attention — let alone in front of a camera. After consulting with Kaitlin it was even more clear that she was the perfect photographer for us. Kaitlin listened to our requests, asked us questions to get a better understanding of what sort of coverage we’d like, and checked in multiple times leading up to the wedding day to go over plans. On the day of, Kaitlin was incredible. She set her flash units up perfectly to give a beautiful sense of lighting to our indoor pictures. Kaitlin was quick and professional with our family formals without feeling like she was rushing anyone. We love our newlywed portraits, largely due to how natural it felt to work with her—again this was huge for us as two people who are a bit camera shy. Our reception photos are equally beautiful, she captured meaningful candid moments without feeling like she was standing between us and the moments happening around us. If you’re like my wife and me and aren’t used to being on camera, I would 100% recommend booking a practice session with Kaitlin either for engagement photos or couples’ photos. As a photographer I’m used to being behind the camera and not in front of it. She helped us feel comfortable and it also helped her see how we interact together as a couple. At no point did we feel like Kaitlin was commandeering our schedule to check off boxes on a shot-list. She was seamlessly integrated everything. Genuinely, I cannot recommend Kaitlin enough. Working with her is like having a best friend there take your wedding photos.
