Hey! I’m Kate! My husband Mike & I are MKM Photography—a duo of enthusiastic & nerdy wedding photographers in Durham, NC. We love the weird & authentic in everyone: from tattoos & fandoms to bold, honest emotion. We want to share your excitement about all the joy, details, and everyday bits of magic that make up your life & your wedding. With a focus on moments & emotions over poses & “perfect” backdrops or expressions, our goal is to create beautiful, authentic images that capture who you are. Our couples love hard & laugh deeply, own all the quirks & weirdness that make them real, value photography & its ability to tell a story that lasts.

♥ We're a husband-&-wife team: 2 photographers, always! ♥ We focus on true-to-life, vibrant color—no light & airy, dark & moody, or dusty warm sepia tones here! ♥ I invest heavily in my couples' planning processes, working with them to create their day-of timeline AND keep things running smoothly on their wedding days. ♥ We're offbeat weirdos in a fairly conservative market: We're tattooed, nerd fandom-ascribing (Star Trek, the MCU, Tolkien's legendarium...and more!), sci-fi and fantasy-reading, LGBT+ affirming, color-loving former ska kids who have been together since 2003. We love and can relate to almost anyone!
