Hey there! I’m a weddings and couples photographer based in Chicago, IL with my partner Emily and my rescue dog Daxter. I’m here to document joy and celebrate all the meaningful moments with the kickass people that find me.

Are you focused less on poses and more on moments? Like capturing your partner's cute-ass belly laugh or the way they look at you on a date night out? ME TOO. I use a candid style - meaning that during photo sessions we have as much fun as possible so you feel as natural as possible. And on your wedding day: I'm there with you every step of the way to document how your day happens organically, focusing entirely on letting you experience your day exactly how you want to. My goal is that when you receive your finished gallery, you'll see a beautiful and totally natural, chronological collection of the day from start to finish.

This is my standard wedding photography package: 6 Hour Starting: $4,000 8 Hour Starting: $4,500 8 Hours + Second Shooter: $5,200 But you don't fit a mold, so your wedding day shouldn't have to either! So if you don't see what you're looking for, my packages can be customized to fit any wedding day and most budgets.

Let's plan a date night and celebrate you two! These sessions can be anything and anywhere that you'd like them to be. You show up and we dance around and belly-laugh the night away while you celebrate your relationship and make some great new memories in front of my camera. Working with Sam and his team was one of the best decisions we could have made with wedding planning! He really took the time to get to know us as a couple and our vision, was an absolute blast to work with, and delivered the most beautiful photos. Not only is Sam amazing, but he also works with wonderful people and was able to pull in a second photographer, Aidan, last minute (a HUGE ask during peak wedding season) when we decided we wanted a bit more coverage. Sam and Aidan were both incredibly creative and fun to spend our wedding day with. They also put us at ease when nerves ran high and recognized when we needed a breather. Our guests raved on how much they loved Sam and Aidan, too! We of course loved the portraits but were also so impressed with the candids which captured so many precious moments that we otherwise may have missed. Overall, if you're looking for a fun, thoughtful, creative photographer who also happens to be a wonderful human being, look no further than Sam Schultz Photography!

Where to begin with how awesome Sam is??? He took our engagement photos back in 2023 and from the moment our session started we knew he was our guy. Sam goes above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and at ease, most importantly has a knack for drawing out authentic happiness that shows up in his photos. He so kindly took photos with us and our rescue dog, Bubbles, and made sure every step along the way she was comfortable - he even brought treats for her. Sam and his associate Chris photographed our October wedding and though we only have our previews back (literally 200 photos) we are in AWE of how he captured the magic of our day. Cannot recommend him enough.

Sam shot both our engagement photos and our wedding, and he's one of the reasons our wedding was SO special. We'd never had professional photos taken of us before, so we went in pretty nervous. Sam made it feel like we were just hanging out with a best friend, and got to know us and our vibe immediately. He shot the perfect amount of candid vs. "posed" photos on our wedding day so that we always felt like we were "in the moment." The photos turned out 10000x better than we could've ever imagined. He really captured US, and we had such a blast with him all day. We've already recommended him to multiple friends getting married next year!

I cannot say enough good things about Sam, truly. We hired him shortly after getting engaged and were fortunate enough to have engagement photos and our wedding with him. My husband and I are both creatives and have worked in media so photo was extremely important to us. If you want true to color and documentary style photos then look no further. Not only does he stylistically do a remarkable job but it felt like we were just hanging out with a bestie all day. Let this be your sign to hire Sam. It’ll be one of the best decisions you make for your wedding day.
