Since starting wedding photography 5 years ago, I’ve been zeroed in on a documentary approach. I want the nervous looks at the altar and the proud smiles at the end of the night, the rare quiet moments and the hustle and bustle, the flower girls getting ready and the great uncle cracking jokes.. I want to document it all. And if you want to mix in some classic posed shots, too, we’ll get you the perfect shot for Grandma to hang on her wall. Whatever you want your day to be, I'll be there with you - and I’ll make sure we have proof of how beautifully *you* it was.

I'm easy going, but I keep things on schedule. I can crack a quick joke to cut the tension, but I also honor the quiet moments. I have a distinct editing style, but I'm not afraid to try new things and push myself to work in new styles. I'm dedicated to getting you exactly what you want - we're a team!

    From the very contact with Simi, we felt comfortable and excited to work with her. She quickly became one of our favorite vendors to work with. She’s not only professional but also extremely responsive to any question/request throughout the wedding planning process. We did both our engagement shoot and wedding day photos with Simi in SF. Both days, the weather was a challenge, including a lot of wind and direct sunlight. She made us feel confident that, regardless of the challenges, she could capture some beautiful photos. In general, my husband and I are not comfortable in front of the camera but Simi’s presence made it so much easier for both of us. Thank you, Simi!

    Simi did an incredible job capturing the day for us! She immediately made us feel at ease, despite us never having done any sort of photo shoot before. We greatly appreciated the thoughtful and thorough questionnaire she had us fill out, because it helped us set expectations about must-have shots, day-of timeline, and it truly made the day go smoother. We also really appreciate how tech-savvy she is with making sure photos are secure when sharing- and the timeline on which she delivered them. And most of all, we are blown away by the photos we got! We will cherish them forever. The photos I'm sharing are just a snippet as I didn't want to share wedding party/guests' faces publicly, but she truly did a phenomenal job at capturing the joy in all our friends and family.

    Simi is a true artist! She knows how to frame photos to create beautiful compositions -- it feels like being in a painting. She captures the small, soulful details and at the same time has the technical know-how to nail all the formal and main wedding shots. And somehow on top of all of that, she is just a wonderful person. Leading up to the wedding she was the vendor who had THE most calming and thoughtful presence. It was such a breath of fresh air having our first phone discussion, and every single interaction after was at the same level of calm, reassuring professionalism while being sensitive and responsive to my various preferences and (very hectic!) circumstances. It's a testament to Simi's talent that she and her amazing 2nd shooter, Nikki, were able to produce such a lovely gallery for us under the circumstances of our wedding - 1 hour less of shooting time than planned, anti-abortion and anti-foie gras protesters not letting people near the building, last minute odd lighting - the gamut of challenges. They were flexible and understanding, sweet and had a great sense of humor throughout, so it was a pleasure to have spent so much time with them that day. Oh and Simi helped steam my veil - what a team player! But back to the photos - Simi made us both feel comfortable in front of the camera, and her pre-wedding survey allowed us to share our vision and requests, so it didn't feel pressured on the day of. We received a very substantial gallery in less time than I was quoted by other photographers I'd interviewed. She did exactly what I'd asked, in terms of the types of photos I'd requested and whom to focus on for extra pictures. I was initially drawn to the elegance in her work and this was reflected in the priceless photos from our day. Highly recommend!

    Simi killed our wedding photos and she was on it!!! didn’t have to ask her for anything she knew exactly what she was supposed to do! she will definitely be our photographer for all of our events now! 100/10 definitely recommend
