Events By Paradise: Palm Beach is the worst wedding planner I have ever encountered. Julie Wholberg, the owner, is a complete scammer and thief. She did not contribute anything to our special day and decided to ghost me one month before the wedding after I paid her 3,700. Julie is now opening another company under the name "The Event Collective", which should not be confused with the real Ashley Brown who created The Event Collective of Florida. I would stay far away from her team. Do your research! She is a fraud with very poor taste and will only disappoint you on your wedding day.

URGENT WARNING: Unresponsive Planner / Loss of Deposit I am writing this to warn other couples about my daughter and I experience with Julie Wohlberg, who operates under Events by Paradise (Instagram: @paradisepetals), @thebocamom, @saltwaterinteractive and more recently The Event Collective (@fleventcollective). My daughter hired Julie for her wedding and paid the required deposit in full. However, with her wedding now only three weeks away, Julie has completely stopped responding to all forms of communication. Despite numerous attempts to reach her to finalize critical details, we have been met with total silence. Being left without a planner this close to the wedding date—after taking the money—is unprofessional and devastating. Please do your due diligence and be extremely cautious before booking with Julie or any of her associated business names.

Avoid Events By Paradise: Palm Beach at all costs. Their communication was absolutely terrible - the wedding coordinator, JULIE, was rude, unresponsive, and made several mistakes that nearly ruined our special day. The quality of their work was awful, and they provided zero value for the high fees they charged. Julie tried to was dismissive when we pushed back and then ghosted us when asked to provide proof that she was actually reaching out to the vendors. Julie repeatedly would tell me "that's just how the business is" when asked why it was taking MONTHS to have a contract sent to me. We ended up having to micromanage her just to ensure the basics were covered. I would NOT recommend this vendor to anyone looking to have an stress-free, enjoyable wedding experience. She is a SCAMMER!
Unfulfilled Contract and No Communication

We hired Events by Paradise for our May 24, 2025 wedding at Barn 305 after carefully researching vendors and falling in love with their past work. From the start, communication seemed promising, and we felt confident in entrusting Julie with our floral vision. Unfortunately, what we received on our wedding day was far below what was promised—and what we paid for in our signed contract. We were supposed to receive six full floral arrangements for the ceremony aisle, but only two minimal pieces were delivered at the entrance, with barely any flowers or greenery. The bridal bouquet was completely different from what we discussed—missing key flowers and the shape we had agreed upon. The reception florals were also fewer and smaller than the quantities outlined in the contract. In addition, we paid for a "flip fee" to have a staff member move the ceremony florals to our sweetheart table after the ceremony, but no one stayed. We also paid a “breakdown fee” for the team to return and pick up their rental equipment, but no one ever came. The venue had to do the cleanup for them, and their rental pieces were never collected. What’s most upsetting is that Julie arrived, set up the limited florals, spoke briefly to my mother and coordinator without mentioning that anything was missing, and then left without saying a word. We never signed off on the arrangements as “satisfactory” because they clearly weren’t. We tried texting and calling her immediately after she left, and have continued to try and reach out through phone, email, instagram, etc. She has read the messages but has never responded. We truly chose this vendor in good faith, based on their past work and what we were promised. But what we experienced was a lack of transparency, incomplete services, and total lack of accountability after the fact. We’ve tried repeatedly to resolve this privately, but after being ignored for weeks, we feel compelled to share our experience so others can make an informed decision. We hope Events by Paradise takes responsibility and makes things right—not just for us, but to preserve the trust of future clients.
