Having spent 38 wonderful years in the Washington, D.C. metro area, I dedicated 28 of them to the financial sector before embracing my dream of creating unforgettable weddings and events. As a certified planner, I lead a talented team at Jill Smith Events and Designs, where we specialize in crafting stunning celebrations across the DC, VA, and MD regions—and beyond!     We were referred to Jill through a mutual friend. Jill was originally hired as our wedding planner, but also stepped in as floral and designer for our entire weekend. Jill is professional, knowledgeable, is known in the industry and to various vendors in the community. This really helped us in terms of booking our rehearsal and welcome dinner, reception, an after party and day after brunch. Her communication style is open, honest, and forthcoming, she responds quickly regardless of it being email, phone or text. Vendors respect her and enjoy working with her as well. She provided details and text chains to our bridal party and parents, kept them abreast of the activities and timeline. Our guests are still talking about Jill and her assistant, Wendy. If you are looking for someone who can manage every aspect and all kinds of scenarios, you won't go wrong in hiring Jill Smith Events.

    You. Have. To. Book. Jill. As. Your. Wedding. Coordinator!!! Hiring Jill as our Coordinator was truly the best decision we made during our wedding. We hired her in January for our September wedding and she dove right in with us. She is incredible beyond words, there's no way we could have had the wedding we did without her. She's so lovely, easy to talk to, someone you want to be friends with, and such a calming presence. She is incredibly knowledgeable about the wedding industry, has a floral business, and a plethora of decorative options as well, which makes her such a treasure trove. There wasn't anything we asked or threw at her that she didn't have an answer to or couldn't handle. She was so professional when dealing with complicated parent and vendor situations, and exactly who you want helping you on your big day. And her organizational skills! She had binders, folders, everything printed out and notes for days. When our cake topper broke, she went into creative mode and fixed it, no one knew there was an issue to begin with. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about her and will continue to shower her with praise and recommend her to everyone I know. We love Jill and you will too!
