The Event Chicago - The Best of the Best!
Chicagoland brides, if you’re currently searching for a wedding planner or on the fence, this review is for you! From one bride to another, hear me out — The Event Chicago is the one. Period. There’s no one better equipped to plan your wedding than Lety and her team. The level of experience and expertise, not to mention the warmth and kindness that they all bring, is next level. Seriously, watching them in action — they’re like the SEAL Team 6 of weddings! The best part? They make sure that the bride and groom’s needs are taken care of above all else. For the entire year leading up to the wedding, our biggest advocate and support system was Lety. She was always quick to respond, creating a constant and reliable channel of communication. Any confusion or ambiguity during the planning process was immediately addressed or resolved. She handled every question, issue, or idea right away, and without judgement! That is what drew me to this team in the first place. From the very first conversation that I had with Lety, I could tell that she cared about our day and us as a couple. She made it known immediately that she had our backs and she was going to do everything possible to make my ‘colorful’ and ‘vibrant’ vision a reality! On the actual day, we were able to make this happen and the space was exactly as I had imagined it! Our guests were gawking at the decor and raving about the small details that we had curated. Behind the scenes, this was weeks and weeks of constant back and forth conversations. Tweaking and updating and pivoting. Throughout it all, Lety’s dedication and commitment never wavered! At the end of the night, the people were lit and the vibes were so high that no one wanted to leave the dance floor! I had to physically usher people towards the exit. I think based on that, we can say that the night was a huge success! Big THANK YOU to Lety and team. Abe and I appreciate you all SO MUCH. Wouldn’t have been possible with you all!!!

Working with The Event Chicago and Lety is an absolute dream! Lety and her incredible team make every wedding and event seamless—not just for our couples, but for vendors like us too. Their attention to detail, professionalism, and calm, friendly approach take so much stress off everyone involved, making the day smooth, enjoyable, and truly memorable. We’ve had the pleasure of collaborating with them on multiple events, and they consistently go above and beyond. They don’t just plan events—they create experiences, and they make our lives so much easier on the big day. We can’t recommend them enough!

Yes, depending on the level of service. For Wedding Coordination and Partial Planning, we may take on multiple weddings in the same day or weekend, as we have a team in place to ensure each event is fully supported. For Full Service Planning clients, we block off the entire weekend to dedicate our time and attention solely to your wedding.

With over 10 years of experience, our team has planned and coordinated a wide variety of celebrations, including weddings, anniversaries, and quinceañeras. We’ve worked with diverse religious traditions and cultural backgrounds, allowing us to thoughtfully support each couple’s unique vision and customs. We are proudly LGBTQ+ friendly and committed to creating an inclusive, welcoming experience for all couples. At this point, we’ve honestly lost count of the total number of weddings we’ve completed! Between full planning, partial planning, and coordination services, our team supports approximately 50 weddings each year.

Yes, we’re a small, intimate team of 6 that works closely together to support each of our couples. For Wedding Coordination and Partial Planning clients, you’ll know exactly who your lead planner is from the very beginning and will have direct communication with them throughout the process. For Full Service Planning clients, our planning bubble is all yours. You’ll have the full support of our team, with dedicated attention and collaboration to ensure every detail is thoughtfully planned and seamlessly executed.
