Blue Goose Event Center

The Blue Goose is an open-vendor venue, meaning you have total freedom. Catering: You can hire any caterer you like or even provide your own food. A commercial-grade kitchen is included in the rental. Alcohol: You are allowed to bring your own alcohol (BYOB). However, if you are selling alcohol (even if it's included in a ticket price), you must obtain a daily license from the CA Dept. of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC). Bartending: While you can bring your own drinks, it is highly recommended (and often required by insurance) to have a licensed bartender serve them.

You are responsible for the "flip" and cleanup unless you pay for additional services: Setup/Teardown: The venue offers a service to set up and tear down tables/chairs for $200 (up to 180 guests) or $250 (over 180 guests). Cleanup: You are generally expected to leave the hall as you found it. Professional cleanup services can be added for a fee (approx. $200).

Liability Insurance: Yes. You must provide a $1,000,000 Certificate of Liability Insurance naming the South Placer Heritage Foundation as "additionally insured." Note: If you don't have your own, the venue can often provide coverage for an additional $100 fee. Permits: If your event will affect local traffic or requires overflow parking at the nearby school or depot lot, you must contact the Town of Loomis for a permit.

Because the building is historic, there are a few strict rules: No Attachments: You cannot nail, staple, or tape items to the painted walls. Prohibited Items: Birdseed, hay, straw, rice, chewing gum, confetti, and glitter are strictly forbidden inside. Lighting: The venue has great natural "mood" lighting, but advanced theatrical lighting or use of the digital projector system carries a small fee (approx. $100).
