Gather at the Lakes resides in the former iconic “Anthe’s” event space in the beautiful Portage Lakes area of New Franklin, Ohio. We spent months lovingly renovating this classic local venue, both updating it and restoring it to its former splendor. Guests are welcomed into the Entry Hall by warm, light-toned walls and natural light. Our 5,300 square foot Ballroom boasts the inviting look of new wall to wall wood floors and the charm of naturally distressed brick accent walls. The high ceilings and vintage crystal chandeliers add a classic elegance to Gather's rustic charm. With a flexible event space that revolves around YOU, our experienced professional staff will work beside you to create the day that you envision. Whether you're dreaming of a rustic barn vibe, a vintage industrial feel, or a luxurious elegant affair, Gather is the perfect backdrop to seamlessly meld with your vision. From simply renting the ballroom to a fully catered package, the choices are yours!

Most Magical Venue in NE Ohio
Gather at the Lakes was the best decision we made for our day! The outdoor space was so gorgeous, we knew immediately that’s where we wanted to get married. We were nervous about an outdoor October wedding in Ohio…but the team gave us plan A, B, C and D just in case!! Their event planners were so helpful and encouraging. They were EVERYWHERE on the day. Any time I needed someone, there they were. I was able to just enjoy my day and not stress. They never made me feel like I was bothering them with ideas or questions during the planning process. The food was delicious, the bar was perfect, the table decor was beautiful and the service was outstanding. I cannot say enough about this venue. It truly was the best day ever and Gather was a HUGE part in making it as beautiful and easy as possible. I have 2 friends who are now getting married there because they were so in love with the venue from my wedding. I can’t wait to go back and see it again! I hear there are tons of updates!!!

Gather At The Lakes Event Venue was an amazing choice for our wedding. From the very beginning, the staff was incredibly helpful and open in their communication, ensuring we felt supported throughout the entire planning process. The quality of their work and value was excellent - the included decor was beautiful, and the overall cost was very reasonable. On our wedding day, when it rained all morning, the Gather team quickly pivoted and helped us move things around so we were still able to get married outside as we had hoped. Their professionalism and responsiveness made our special day truly perfect. I highly recommend Gather At The Lakes to any couple looking for a wonderful wedding venue with a fantastic team.

Gather At The Lakes Event Venue was the perfect choice for our wedding day. From the moment we first spoke with Erin and Allison, we were impressed by their thorough, supportive, and analytical communication style. They provided a beautiful venue with incredible attention to detail, creating a truly magical, fairytale-like atmosphere with an abundance of lush ferns and stunning decor. On the day of our wedding, we were able to fully focus on our wedding, as Erin and Allison had everything covered - there wasn't a single hiccup thanks to their incredible planning and execution. The venue was an ideal setting for our fall wedding, and we are so grateful to Gather At The Lakes for making our special day everything we dreamed of and more.
