About this venue

The Milestone Barn is a premier rustic barn wedding venue in Michigan, located in beautiful Bannister, MI, just a short drive from Lansing, Saginaw, and Flint. Originally built for agricultural use and lovingly restored in 2011, our family-owned barn now serves as the perfect setting for barn weddings, receptions, proms, and other milestone celebrations. When the owners began planning their own rustic wedding, they discovered how difficult it could be to find an affordable, charming barn venue that truly captured that rustic Michigan feel. Their search inspired the transformation of their family barn into The Milestone Barn, a space designed to bring that same dream to life for other couples, without the high price tag. Since opening our doors in 2011, we’ve continued to grow and improve every year. We listen to feedback from our brides and grooms, updating the property and adding new features while preserving the authentic rustic charm that makes The Milestone Barn so special.

    The Milestone Barn is PERFECT.

    The Milestone Barn is PERFECT. Lets dive in. I was a bride on September 16th, and it was all my dreams come true. Carolyn, the owner of the venue was extremely clear and informative about her rules and expectations of the barn so there was ZERO misunderstandings. She communicated everything perfectly, and really helped us out with the planning process and making everything work for us. She was so kind, personable and helpful. The venue ITSELF, was perfect. I had a wedding of 130 people and it fit everyone accordingly and comfortably. My pictures turned out amazing because of the beautiful barn, the decorations and scenery. Everything about this venue was beautiful and it really made me fall in love all over again on my wedding day. It had plenty of room to get ready too, us girls were a MESS hehe. But I have ZERO complaints. It was perfect.

    Our Dream Venue

    We got married in August 2018 at The Milestone Barn and it was the wedding of our dreams! The barn and grounds are stunning. I loved everything about my wedding. Carolyn was amazing to work with and always there to answer my questions. People loved the venue so much that we talked about doing it again (minus the wedding part). You won’t regret getting married there. If you are looking for food, hotel, or someone to marry you they have recommendations!! I wouldn’t have changed a thing.
