We are still in awe of the incredible experience we had at Tar Creek Ranch for our wedding! If you're dreaming of a rustic, barn-style wedding with elegance and charm, this is the place. From start to finish, everything was absolutely perfect. The venue itself is a beautiful blend of rustic and romantic. The barn exudes character with its wooden beams, open space, and warm, inviting atmosphere. We loved how the space felt both intimate and expansive—perfect for creating the cozy, laid-back vibe we envisioned, while still providing room for all of our guests to dance the night away. The outdoor pavilion was also a wonderful space for our first dance and outdoor dining. The pavilion features a large tent with a clear top and sides, allowing guests to enjoy the beautiful sunset while savoring their meal. In addition, the ranch house was a lovely space for my bridal party to stay and get ready for the day. The house offers amazing natural light and plenty of space for all of your guests. The team at Tar Creek Ranch made the entire planning process seamless. From the moment we toured the venue to the last dance of the night, the staff was incredibly supportive, professional, and detail-oriented. They helped us bring our vision to life, whether it was coordinating the timeline, offering decor ideas, or ensuring everything went off without a hitch. From the very beginning, she was incredibly responsive, kind and always available to answer our questions and make suggestions about vendors and other details. We were planning from out of town, so having Kari was essential in our planning and I am certain it would have been a mess without her! She is well known and well respected within the wedding planning community in Paso and it was obvious that all of our vendors loved working with her. On our rainy wedding day, she and her team seamlessly moved our ceremony inside at the last minute and transformed the space into something truly gorgeous and magical with the beautiful winery vibes that we wanted while keeping everyone dry. They were then able to transform that same space for dinner. We didn't think it was possible for us and our families to have a relaxing day pre-wedding, especially with rain, but we truly did. Kari and her team took care of everything and kept everything on schedule with every detail attended to, and we didn't have to worry about anything. She also did our flowers which were gorgeous, reasonably priced and exactly what we had hoped for. I had four (yes, four!) bridal makeup trials and I’m so grateful to have found Taylor! I was looking for a natural makeup look but it seemed impossible to find. The other trials left me with cakey foundation that actually made my skin texture look worse than it normally does without makeup. Taylor suggested that I look up celebrity reference photos as opposed to your typical bridal Pinterest pics. This was a game changer — great advice! Taylor paid close attention to my skin tone, skin type, and bone structure to help accentuate my features. Old SLO BBQ can provide a delicious meal for groups of all sizes, large and small. We offer three catering options: Pick up, Delivery, or On-Site Staffed. Our On-SIte Staffed option includes serving equipment, servers, buffet tables, and linens to feed your group of up to 300 people. Old SLO BBQ was our wedding caterer on 4.14.22 and they were amazing from start to finish! We came into the restaurant for a wedding tasting and fell in love with the food and we knew we were in great hands with Kevin! He answered all of our questions and always responded to calls and emails quickly! The food turned out perfectly and Kevin & his team were so accommodating and went above and beyond on wedding day- even helping clear plates & cleaning up!! We requested left overs for my husband and I in our bridal suite because we had been warned bride and groom don’t get to each much at the wedding because of all the talking! When we got up to the room later there were 2 to-go boxes made for us and tons of leftovers!! We had sooo many compliments on the food and staff. What a great business and team! Thank you so much! She understood our vision and the vibe we wanted for the day and TOTALLY delivered. She also did our flowers, and they were stunning. Monica ensured the wedding setup and day of schedule went off without a hitch. She worked so hard the day before and day of - especially on the tablescapes, which I had told her I cared a lot about.
