Carolina Flowers is equal parts farm and florist. We tend 5 acres of land to bring you the most exquisite blooms, and we employ a team of florists to arrange them in custom designs. We focus on seasonal blooms, designs with lots of movement and whimsy, and a natural aesthetic.

We buy local as much as possible and are always on the hunt for sustainably grown beauties. We chase the best of the season, often delighting in the underused and less-seen pod, fruiting branch, and oddity. During our region's non-growing season, we source from what is available to us from around the world, always keeping the mindset of the least ecological footprint option first.

Choy, a native of South Korea, grew up in downtown Pussan. Her extensive, almost 30 year, history of study entails numerous reputable schools of design, including the Ikebana school, and the Hana art school. She recently attended the North Carolina Certified Professional Florists Program in Southern Pines before opening her shop in 2003. Education, in combination with her desire to stay current with trends in the floral industry are what set her apart. Choy is a former member in the Blue Ridge Chapter of Ikebana, the Ikebana International of Asheville, and is a former member of NC State Florist Association.
