“Choosing a wedding venue is one of the biggest decisions you'll make during the planning process and I can confidently say, choosing Swan Lake Caterers was the best decision we made. I’m so excited to write this review so other couples can have a similarly incredible experience! I looked everywhere around the tri-state area from Jersey, to Connecticut, all the boroughs (including Staten Island!!) to all over Long Island. Swan Lake Caterers was actually the first venue I visited, and I fell in love instantly. But, like many brides, I was indecisive. I kept searching, trying to be sure… and after every other tour, I kept coming back to Swan Lake in my heart, I had a feeling it was the one! And it absolutely was. The entire day was seamless, magical, and full of joy. One of the most touching things someone said to me was from my sister. She told me, “So many brides can’t enjoy their wedding day because there’s so much going on but we could see in your face how carefree and happy you were. You were truly having fun” This was in large part due to Swan Lake Caterers allowing me to focus on my husband, family and friends. They gave us peace of mind, beautiful surroundings, and the freedom to be fully present in every moment. The food was out of this world, our guests are still talking about it! Sophia and Charlie really catered to what we wanted and to our guests’ dietary needs! Including three of our vegan family members. The venue itself was picture perfect. It was elegant, romantic, and timeless! One of my guests said it looked like it was out of a Disney movie. Elena, our maitre-d worked with me in the months leading up to the wedding to make sure the decor and vibe was everything we wanted. She knocked it out of the park! Even though it was a little chilly, and started to drizzle, Sophia was in contact with us in the week leading up to it, to make sure everyone was comfortable temperature wise. They were so unimaginably attentive to us! The day of, Elena made sure that even without a rehearsal everything went off without a hitch. Speaking of attentiveness, Jill, my bridal attendant, was simply amazing. She made sure we had drinks in our hand, food on our plates, helped me fix the train on my dress a million and one times. I’m pretty sure they helped one of my guests fix a ripped dress? Seriously. People said it was one of the best weddings they’ve been to! If you're thinking about getting married here, stop thinking and just say YES. I can’t express how incredibly grateful I am to Swan Lake Caterers and would love it for every other couple (and their guests) to have a similar experience!”

“Overall, we are happy with our wedding day. The Mansion is in the process of being renovated/restored and so far it is looking beautiful! The hotel rooms were recently updated and guests were happy with them. The food was also FANTASTIC! (All of our guests were raving about all of the food). They clearly are a well oiled machine when it comes to throwing weddings. We also had our welcome dinner there the night before, which went amazingly and there was so much food everyone was happy! However, there were a few hiccups that bothered us considering how much money is put into having a wedding & how this venue does weddings all.the.time. so expectations are high. In the planning process, the event coordinator position was replaced 3 times in the year we were planning our wedding with them, the last replacement being the week before our wedding. The final replacement did not have any of our vendor info or cake selections and called me 4 days before my wedding about it (...scary). It must've been a miscommunication from the coordinator prior to her, as that girl never responded to any of our emails; I'm sure she did not keep any notes. The current coordinator also could not answer simple questions our friends/family asked her and was very pushy. On our wedding day, I was paired with a Maitre D who was very sweet, but I'm not sure about her "years" of experience that she claimed to have. While taking photos with our photographer she wasn't paying attention and wasn't fixing my dress/veil every time wind blew it out of place so the photographer had to leave his place each time to fix it himself (it was a windy day so this happened a lot). The photographer also asked her to assist in a "veil toss" shot and she ripped the veil from my head, yanking my head back, when she was just supposed to toss it up in the air. It hurt and pulled on my hair style that was supposed to last all night. I mentioned before the food was excellent, and the Chef is incredible. However, when we booked our venue last year, we were adamant about wanting a real wedding cake--not a fake one you cut one slice into for pictures. We were told by one of the event planners there that all tiers were going to be real cake, but during our cake cutting, we cut into styrofoam...it was disappointing. The cake they served was delicious, but we thought we were paying for a real cake because we were told it would be 100% real. We probably would not have booked this venue had we known we'd get a fake cake; it was something my dad made sure to ask at every venue we checked out, it was important to him. Additionally, some rude comments were overheard by our guests made by various staff members about our wedding. As a business owner whose business is to also provide a service, that is absolutely unacceptable, especially while on the job where people can hear you. Jazmin, the Chef, and the front desk ladies were very pleasant and professional to work with, but no one else there seemed to know what they were doing. It ended up working out but again, with how many weddings this place throws, you'd expect a better level of professionalism.”

“We got married at Engineers Country Club on 9/21/24, and it was the best day of our lives. Ben and his team went above and beyond, and provided exceptional service. From our very first tour, to our wedding day, and all of the planning in between, Ben and his staff were an absolute pleasure to work with. We had never been to ECC before, so we solely chose the venue based on our first impression, and it was the best decision we could've made. The property is stunning. The inside is beautiful, bright, recently renovated, and clean. Ben was always quick to respond to emails and always made himself available to answer any questions we had (and we had a lot!). He was beyond accommodating, patient, and did everything with our best interest in mind. We want to thank Ben and his staff for making our wedding day the best day of our lives. They made sure everything remained on schedule per our timeline and every single thing went perfectly! You always hear people say that something is bound to go wrong on your wedding day, but we can't relate. Vicki, my bridal attendant, was also a dream come true. She was my shadow throughout the entire day and night. She is so incredibly sweet and cared so much about making sure I had what I needed at all times. She took photos and videos on my iPhone throughout the day and night, so we have so much awesome content to hold us over until we get the professionals back. The food was endless and delicious. “We could not be more happy with how our wedding turned out at Mamaroneck Beach and Yacht Club. There are so many things that make this venue special. The service, the scenery, the food, and the run of show were all spectacular. The service. We received attentive and detailed service throughout the entire planning process. The director of events, Bob, answered all of our emails promptly and with detail. He is a wonderful man who goes above and beyond to make sure that we were thoroughly satisfied and feeling well taken care of. Bob was so fantastic at helping us come up with solutions to challenges that emerged at different stages of the planning process, and we couldn’t have pulled off the party we wanted without his patience, thoughtfulness, and support. On the day of, we were made to feel so special by all the staff at MBYC. We were given a personal “bridal attendant” who followed us around all day and attended to any needs we had that came up- like holding my bouquet during photos, getting us fresh drinks, grabbing some items from the bridal suite. All of our guests were telling us how impressed they were by the level of service and consideration they received from all the staff. Everyone was kind, professional, and in great spirits. The scenery. The venue space at MB&YC is truly RIGHT on the water! It is so incredibly gorgeous. The cocktail hour is on a beautiful deck over the water. The reception is in a ballroom with giant windows facing the water. The space does not need much more decoration to feel special. It is elegant and special, yet practical, home-y, and not at all stuffy. The food. We were so impressed by the food. Typically wedding food is basic and mass produced, but every dish at MB&YC felt special. We had so many friends after the wedding recounting their favorite bites throughout the night. The mac and cheese bites as well as the New York Strip Steak were definitely crowd pleasers. Not only was the food plentiful, but it was all also incredibly tasty. Bob and his staff also made sure to take care of our guests with dietary restrictions. Everyone ate well at our wedding. The run of show. Bob and his team were working very hard the evening of our wedding to ensure the schedule was kept and everything went as planned. Leading up to the event, Bob heard all of our concerns and desires, and he was able to execute a fabulous event the evening of our wedding. I was never once concerned that something was missing or forgotten, I trusted Bob and I knew he was going to make sure we had a perfect night. Overall, definitely book your wedding here at MB&YC!
