Russ has always loved music. From standing in the living room, pretending to conduct the orchestra as a toddler, to playing in multiple bands growing up. He got his start as a DJ in 2003 DJ'ing for his friend's sister's wedding. While there he met another couple who were impressed with his charisma and unabashed ability to engage the crowd, and leading a line dance when necessary, they asked him to DJ their wedding as well. From there it snowballed as he honed his craft both on the microphone and behind the mixer to create the professional sound and music services that Powell Wedding & Events represents today.
