Gallery Nine North

  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $2,400
  • Serves Dickinson Center, NY

At Gallery Nine North, my mission is to capture the raw, authentic moments of life’s most cherished celebrations through the art of candid photography. With over 400 weddings beautifully documented, I pride myself on a photojournalistic approach that tells each couple's unique story.

Awarded Best of Zola
We can't say enough good things about Erin at Gallery Nine North. He was professional throughout, interacting well with other vendors and during the reception, he was almost like a fly on the wall in terms of just blending in. He arrived at the venue a couple hours early in order to scout photo opportunities. He was extremely communicative throughout the process, responding promptly and checking in periodically leading up to the wedding in order to finalize details and timelines. He was very easy to be around, was very kind (and funny) and made us feel comfortable- our families also thought highly of him. He delivered our final gallery to us within 15 days of the wedding and I would add that his pricing was very reasonable. We are extremely grateful for the photos he captured, they turned out beautifully. I will also add that he only had about 20-30 minutes of no rain, and in that short time, he was able to get a lot of amazing shots. Thanks Erin! We are so thankful you were part of our day.

For Couples who are good at heart, that live for the seconds and party like no tomorrow. Capturing Authentic moments, focused on heartfelt storytelling. Based in the Southern Adirondacks, I have been wedding photographer for 15+ years now telling over 400+ wedding days.

Awarded Best of Zola
We cannot recommend Jason highly enough! From the very beginning of our wedding planning process, he was amazing to work with. He kept in touch regularly, offering helpful suggestions when we were unsure about timelines or logistics. On wedding day, Jason was an absolute joy to work with. He brought such positive energy and made everyone feel comfortable in front of the camera. He remembered every detail we discussed beforehand—from specific photo ideas to family members’ names—and even came up with creative ideas on the spot based on the location, lighting, and his incredible experience. He sent over several sneak peek photos the very next morning! It was so exciting to see how beautifully everything turned out, and it made us even more eager for the full gallery. Jason’s turnaround time was exactly as promised in his contract, and he continued to check in with us throughout the process, even though he was clearly busy with other weddings. Jason’s talent, professionalism, and thoughtfulness made him such an important part of our wedding. We're so grateful to have found him and for the stunning memories he captured and would 1000% recommend him to anyone. If we have the chance to work with him again in the future, we absolutely will!

Photography for people who dread being photographed. With 15+ years specializing in camera-shy couples, I've learned that your wedding is not a generic fantasy from the interne, it's a legacy. The industry pushes couples to perform for the camera, but when you already feel awkward being photographed, that pressure can erase the real, unscripted story of your people. My approach is built for humans who hate being photographed. I create an experience that melts stiffness and anxiety so the raw, honest truth of your connection shows up and the story of everyone who matters is protected.

Awarded Best of Zola
Here’s the thing: my husband (!) and I are awkward, full stop. Once a camera is involved, we both get full blown weirdo paralysis. Photos were the part of the wedding we were dreading most. Yet Cass showed up and somehow made us feel completely at ease. The time flew by, the love and joy flowed freely and, from what we’ve seen so far, the images reflect it. Cannot recommend Cass enough.

Welcome! And Congratulations! I am a Wedding & Family Photographer based in Plattsburgh, NY. I grew up in Charlotte, VT where I fell in love with Lake Champlain and all the beauty that Vermont has to offer. I now live in Rouses Point, NY and continue to be drawn by Lake Champlain and its charm. When I am not behind the camera capturing the authenticity of my clients moments I am spending quality time with my husband, his two beautiful children and our two dogs. We spend our summers on Lake Champlain and our winters inside the hockey rink. My love of photography started the moment I held my first camera. I hope to share that passion with you!

Awarded Best of Zola
We were very pleased with Kyla! She was so willing to adapt to our changes as the weather dictated. As an older couple , we didn’t feel the need to have every traditional shot .. we wanted candid shots of our family enjoying themselves along with our tiny ceremony. She blended into the background to accomplish just that and thought quickly on her feet to notice a break in the weather to get outdoor group shots and some of us by our boat . We were definitely too involved in the enjoyment of the day to look for those opportunities and we are so glad she was on it ! We love the photo memories she has created for us and would absolutely recommend her to anyone considering a photographer for their event!

I’m Donna Marie—the introverted, hella awkward + nerdy, all about the vibes and adventure(ish) soul that you can typically find behind the camera (rather than in front of it). I'm here to serve + empower all the introverted, awkward in-front-of-the-lens, adventure(ish) couples who want to have an authentic, non-traditional wedding experience across upstate and northern New York. What matters most are the emotions you experience as your wedding day unfolds. Whether that be in a place with easy to reach epic views, or any place or location that embodies who you are. I’m your go-to gal when you decide to take control of your wedding day.

In the 20 years that I've been photographing professionally, I’ve honed my skill of knowing when to step in and make things happen, and when to step back and simply *allow* things to happen. Documenting the REAL emotion of the day is how we capture those picture-perfect moments. They happen organically, not by force, and I promise you: we're not going to miss ANY of them. = )

Awarded Best of Zola
Right from the start Christopher's communication and professionalism was amazing. He was so thoughtful and informative every step of the way. He sent us a questionnaire that really helped lay out what photos we wanted to make things easier leading up to our wedding. His calming presence throughout the wedding day made it so easy for us to relax in the moment, this sense of calm and joy was perfectly captured in our photos. From beginning to end, they made every moment of our day special. Christopher and his team are exceptional and will make your wedding day seamless. They were a joy to have as part of our wedding day. We are over the moon with the results and highly recommend Christopher Duggan Photography to any couple looking for an amazing wedding photography experience!

On our wedding day, Sarah arrived with assistant Colton and instantly went to work making our day so special. We took photos all over the entire venue, laughing and joking around the whole time. The huge smiles on our faces in our photos are proof of how much fun we had. Our entire bridal party and both of our families couldn't stop raving about how professional and fun she was to work with. You know that all encompassing feeling when you’re revisiting a vivid memory? You can smell the fresh air, feel the way the sun hits your face just so, hear the voice of the loved one next to you, remember the joke that they delivered and instantly you’re laughing all over again. That magic is what I hope to capture as your photographer. It’s my job to hold those moments in time so that they don’t have to fade. You’ll forever be able to revisit the moment, see the exact way they smiled, revisit that incredible sunset, relive the memory and turn back time.

Awarded Best of Zola
Jessica was truly amazing to work with for our wedding day. From the very first time we spoke, Jessica had a sweet and attentive communication style that immediately put us at ease. I remember after our first virtual meeting her even sending a little thank you gift for meeting with her. And she was so kind, she asked so many questions and seemed genuinely interested about us as a couple and about our dogs! I spoke with some other photographers who seemed to care less about us as people. Which is ultimately why we went with Jessica to begin with, she was just so nice and her pictures were amazing to top it all off. Her passion for her craft was evident in the beautiful, high-quality photos she captured. Also her photo package names were so great (THE STAR WARS - "I LOVE YOU, I KNOW”)! For our engagement shoot we suffered through some of the hottest, awful, sticky, July weather and she was positive the entire time, managed to get amazing shots and deal with our crazy dogs! Before the wedding, Jessica was always easily reachable, and very on the ball. And will always be your biggest cheerleader, anytime I posted anything on Instagram, Jessica would be there celebrating, she is truly a delightful and genuine person! And I think her run through of the wedding day was the first one I got and it was perfect! And she went to the venue a week before the wedding to scope out the absolute perfect spots to take photos! On the day of the wedding, Jessica was able to calmly get every picture perfect, meanwhile making silly dad jokes to help us feel more relaxed in front of the camera. She was amazing at trying to calm down our crying moms, and giving us some moments just to ourselves, listening to literally everything we said, and always making sure we were okay, all while getting amazing shots! And all of our guests loved her! We had people reaching out during and after the wedding to tell us how wonderful Jessica was. Everyone was obsessed with her, both of our mom, my sister, my bridesmaids, even the best man kept talking about how great she was, how amazing everything went, and how nice she was with everything! Meanwhile I am sure it was like trying to her cats to get some of the photos together, especially when we both wanted huge extended family photos, but she was positive and amazing through it all! Jessica went above and beyond on our special day, making sure everything was perfect. I am sure I even missing some of the little touches she added to our wedding. And we are so grateful to have had her as our wedding photographer. She says on her website “YOU CAN CALL ME JESS (SHE/HER). AKA YOUR NEW BEST FRIEND!” And that is honestly how I felt throughout the whole process, literally love her! And I mean the photos really speak for themselves, they are absolutely flawless!

Hi, I’m Richard, a wedding photographer based in the Hudson Valley. My passion is finding the beauty in the simplest moments and capturing them in a way that feels raw, real, and full of life. As a candid, photojournalist photographer, I’m all about ditching stiff poses to focus on the relationships, the laughs, and the genuine emotions that tell your distinct story. I aim to capture the little details and authentic moments that make your day uniquely yours.

Awarded Best of Zola
From our very first email exchange to the moment we received our photos, every step of working with Rich was an incredible experience. He always responded quickly, answered every question with patience, and offered thoughtful suggestions I hadn’t even considered. His preparation before the wedding gave us confidence that everything would run smoothly, and it truly did. Richard was exceptionally professional, respectful, kind, and understanding. On our wedding day, he brought a sense of calm amid the chaos. He blended seamlessly into the flow of events—always present when needed, but never intrusive—and coordinated effortlessly with our families, bridal party, and other vendors. He was also incredibly organized with the shots we needed, keeping us on track without ever making us feel rushed. Richard delivered our full gallery exactly one month after our wedding and just before Thanksgiving so we could share the photos with our families over the holiday. It meant so much to us and we were thrilled to receive our pictures so quickly. Looking through the gallery felt like reliving the entire day, moment by moment. He captured the vibe and essence of our wedding perfectly. I especially appreciated his ideas and direction, and his artistic eye genuinely blew us away. He noticed angles, lighting, and emotional moments, capturing everything from the big highlights to the smallest in-between moments. The pictures he took of us, our families, and our venue were stunning—so much so that multiple friends texted us saying the photos looked like they belonged in Vogue. That is entirely to Richard’s credit. Choosing Richard as our wedding photographer was, without question, one of the best decisions I made in the entire wedding process. I am endlessly grateful to have these photos to cherish forever. Choose Rich as your wedding photographer - you will not regret it!!!!

After graduating from Parson's School of Art in Manhattan, I worked as a fine artist, my work involved photography and photo manipulation. I quickly discovered that I loved and excelled at photo retouching, and went on to work for some of the best photo retouching studios in New York. In 2009 I shot my first wedding, it was a dear friend of mine and the beautiful photos were featured in one of the biggest wedding magazines. I realized that I had found my calling and have been producing stunning wedding photographs with my amazing team and clients ever since.

Awarded Best of Zola
Emma and her team are FANTASTIC! My photographer was one of the first vendors I booked for my wedding and upon our first meeting I knew they were the perfect fit. I went with Massimo as the lead photographer who also did our engagement shoot. It was so nice to meet with him and see his work before the wedding. Leading up to the big day they would check in to make sure all details were finalized. My wedding was very unique in that I had an Indian wedding and traditional wedding all in one day with multiple outfit changes. We had a lot to cover and Emma's team was more than up for the challenge. We had 2 photographers including Massimo and a videographer. They were extremely organized and creative to capture shots I would have never thought of on my own. When the previews came in I was in shock of how beautiful they were and now that I have all of the photos and videos I get to relive the day all over again with friends and family. I could not recommend Emma and her team enough for weddings and other big life moments!

She captured every significant moment, from the subtle glances to the big celebrations, with an artistic eye that truly showcased the emotions and beauty of our wedding. Each photo reflects not just an image but a cherished memory. What stood out the most was her attentiveness to our needs. Throughout the entire day, she was there, ensuring we were comfortable and happy with every shot. She seamlessly blended into the background during intimate moments, yet was right there when we needed her for posed pictures. Her ability to adapt and respond to the day's events, while maintaining a calm and cheerful presence, was remarkable. Magalie went above and beyond to make sure our vision for the day was realized. She took the time to understand our preferences and worked tirelessly to ensure every request was met with enthusiasm and creativity. We are beyond thrilled with the final photos. They are not just pictures but timeless pieces of art that we will cherish forever. We highly recommend Magalie to anyone looking for a wedding photographer who will not only capture beautiful images but also enhance the joy and magic of the day. Thank you, Magalie, for giving us the perfect visual memories of our special day!

When searching for a photographer, I was overwhelmed by the number of options available. Dominique didn’t make me feel pressured. She provided us with her wedding guide, which gave us insight into who she is. When we met remotely, I instantly knew she was the one. She was enthusiastic, listened attentively, and asked us questions about what is important to us leading up to the wedding and beyond. She was great to work with, and I knew what to expect. She drafted our timeline, offered recommendations, and helped us design it based on what was important to my husband and me. She curated a family shot list, and let me tell you, she did not disappoint. Her and her team were amazing.

Hey- I'm Nicole. When I'm not working with the raddest couples I'm typically brewery hopping with my wife, or home spending time with my three dogs. I live for SU basketball, and love just about any other Syracuse sports team (Crunch, Mets - count me in). I have been photographing weddings for over ten years, and in that time have had the opportunity to travel around the world and meet tons of new friends.

We couldn’t be more thrilled with the experience we had with Nicole. From the very first zoom call, she was warm, professional, and genuinely excited to capture our special day. On the wedding day, she was calm, organized, and made us feel completely at ease. Her attention to detail and ability to capture the most beautiful, candid moments were truly incredible. The photos are stunning—each one reflects the joy, love, and beauty of our celebration. We are so grateful to have had Nicole as part of our wedding, and we would recommend her to anyone looking for a talented, personable, and dedicated photographer. Thank you, Nicole!

A good friend of mine has said that my brand is to care. She isn’t wrong-my brand is one of caring because my being is one of caring. I’ve been a wedding photog for 14+ yrs. I find that being a wedding photog is a gift - I barely have the words to describe how special it feels to be invited into clients’ most momentous & intimate wedding moments over & over again. I’m a champion for the weird & whimsical, the fun & funky - even & especially on wedding days. Plan your day the way you want to, trends be damned. Let your wedding day reflect your joy. That’s what we’re all there to celebrate, anyway. ✨

The day we met with Erica, we knew she was the right choice! She was booked for our date already, but she highly recommended Amanda as lead photographer who is part of her Sweet Alice Studios Team and Erica then edits the photos! I cannot stress how superb Erica’s communication style is; she is quick to respond to emails and with kindness every time. You can tell how much she cares about her clients and how much she truly loves her job! She was essential for creating our timeline and her professional wisdom was so helpful throughout the process! We met with Amanda for our engagement shoot and hit it off immediately! She was so helpful for two people who are shy in front of the camera, and she truly captured our personalities with ease! We met with Amanda 2 weeks or so before the wedding to talk through our wants and to give us some guidance on some details. On the wedding day Amanda and second photographer Debbie were wonderful!! They arrived early, were open to any and all last-minute photo ideas, and available when we needed them. They were a perfect mix of calm and joyous throughout the whole day! So kind and efficient, they allowed us to really soak in the little moments on our wedding day. My husband even mentioned that Amanda gave him a little pep talk accompanied by some tissues prior to the ceremony and later she gave us the biggest hug after our first dance (which he had been so anxious about!). The team genuinely makes you feel seen, heard, and like we had some extra friends on our big day there to support us. Some of our favorite shots are little unposed moments that captured the authentic joy our day gave us! Then we got about 100 sneak-peek photos within 3 days of our wedding date (mind you the team had at least 3 weddings that weekend) and we were totally blown away! The vividness of the Fall foliage was STUNNING. My friends/family raved about our photos, and I cannot wait to hang prints of them all over our house! I am recommending Sweet Alice to any bride I cross paths with because this team is just that good!

Hullo! So you're gettin' hitched (YaaY!), but you’re not super into the idea of the overly-manicured wedding. A+ for you, because this is not your parents’ wedding photography. I'm a farm kid who floats between the journalism and art worlds. I love telling stories as much as I love listening to the stories of others. I’m the type of person who makes up musicals for my own amusement and nurses a soft spot for sci-fi and fantasy. If I’m not taking photos, I’m usually dancing. Or cooking. It’s possible I may have a baking addiction and try to mitigate the damage by forcing the goods on loved ones.

Most wedding photography feels overly curated and predictable. I’ve seen the same 20 poses across different photographers, with prices all over the place. But let me tell you about Celia. We hired her for our engagement and wedding photos, and she was nothing short of amazing. From the start, Celia was incredibly responsive, offered great direction, and truly captured the youthful energy of my wife and me. If you’re searching for a photographer who not only documents the curated moments but also the spontaneous, unfiltered ones—while making every shot feel like a mix of Vogue, paparazzi, and playful fun—Celia is your person. I also want to highlight her incredible skill in photographing and editing people with melanin. It’s not something every photographer gets right. IYKYK. Celia’s work is never boring, never one-note. She brought our special day to life in a way we’ll cherish forever.

My love for photography and the importance it plays in remembering cherished moments spans decades. Photographs are one of the only tangible items you receive after your wedding day (aside from the memories) to help you relive this time for the rest of your days. I will hype you up all day long to make sure you are enjoying every aspect of your day with your partner— that’s truly what it’s all about!

Erin is amazing! We hired her for our wedding back in October and she beyond delivered! We met a few months prior for engagement photos and we hit it off. Her personality is awesome. It was like we’d known each other for years. She made us feel comfortable in front of the camera and the photos came out beautiful. Fast forward to our wedding day, Erin was so fun, calm and organized. She got every shot on our shot list and then some! I expressed how I love black and white photos and she made sure to include plenty of those in our gallery. We received beautiful photos that we’ll cherish forever. In an industry where vendor prices are through the roof, Erin’s packages are reasonable and worth every penny. Trust her with your special day, you won’t be disappointed! Thank you, Erin for a great experience and beautiful photos.
