In 1910, President Taft signed the bill to establish Glacier National Park as the country’s 10th national park. Mr. Healy was given a plumbing contractor for the train depot here in St. Paul, where he met Samuel Bartlett, the architect of many of the railroad depots and Glacier National Park Lodge. Healy then commissioned Bartlett to renovate and enlarge the house. In 1914, the farm was sold to John Healy, the owner of Healy Plumbing and Heating Company of St. Paul. Mr. Healy’s company became closely tied to the Great Northern Railroad, as it provided the heating and plumbing for many of the train depots that were being built around the country at that time. The farm was named Hope Glen Farm, the name of John Healy’s mother’s maiden name of Hope, and the house settles in a Glen, thus Hope Glen.

The White Pine Wedding Barn is a charming venue with three different levels, including a loft. Your set up can be customized to meet your needs. Our most popular set up is a ceremony outdoors, with a reception on the main level of our barn. The barn can comfortably seat 200 people. You are welcome to rent a tent from another place in order to fit up to 350 people. You will also have access to our beautiful 120 acres of grounds for the day to take pictures, as well as the Bride Room. The Bride Room is the perfect spot for the bride to relax for the day with her bridesmaids, and comes with access to bathrooms. The entire venue is yours for 4 days, giving you plenty of time to set up for your big day.
