“We couldn’t be happier that we chose Jill to be our wedding photographer. We knew we wanted someone to more accurately capture our day (did NOT want to have over-exposed, filtered looking photos or the hoaky, staged vibes) and her journalistic approach to her photography in combination with her joyful energy was PERFECT for us. We asked for a video chat prior to booking to go over some questions and concerns we had regarding the day and knew very quickly she was going to be the right fit for us. Given we both have a passion for photography ourselves, we greatly appreciated her expertise in a wide variety of elements (from bright, natural light to dark, interior spaces) and her realistic approach, which, alongside her experience and artistic vision led to crisp, beautiful photos representing us and our day. We also booked an engagement shoot with her, which we loved, as her bubbly personality immediately puts you at ease and allows you to get a sense of how to really be yourself in photos while still making them feel special. She was responsive and easy to communicate with through the whole process, really making the entire experience feel personal, and our wedding day was all that and even more fun. For the first part of the day she brought an assistant, Anney, with her, who was another ray of sunshine to work with to be a second set of hands, and we worked with Jill to hire a second shooter, Leiden, for a few hours later, who was wonderful as well. Jill being down-to-earth but also friendly and outgoing felt like the perfect combo so that we didn’t feel stressed throughout the day, but also that we could approach her with whatever our thoughts were. So many of our guests said (and keep saying) how much THEY also loved being around her at our event too. We legitimately got some amazing photos back of certain guests that we hardly EVER see smile for photos, which was just more proof how infectious her positive energy is and how great she is at what she does. We ended up with a ton of truly spectacular photos from our wedding for what we thought was a fair price, and that we got back in a very reasonable amount of time, all of which she takes the time and care to edit herself without making them look fake, filtered, or overly manipulated. I can’t overstate how much we loved having Jill as our wedding photographer and the way she perfectly captured us and our wonderful day.”

“Hiring Elliot was, hands-down, the best decision we made while planning our elopement. We were worried he'd not want to hike with us at Starved Rock State Park after our ceremony, but he was stoked to go on the adventure with us. He got to our ceremony spot with time to spare and was able to capture us gathering our 5 witnesses and walking them to the ceremony spot. Our ceremony pictures are so emotional. Elliot has a gift for capturing the depth of emotion being felt. He got beautiful photos of us with our parents that we will treasure for the rest of our lives. After the ceremony, we hiked for THREE HOURS!!! in and out of the canyons at Starved Rock State Park. The photos we got can only be described as fuc*ing epic. There were two canyons in particular I wanted to have photos taken and we were able to do both and so much before, after, and in between. We also got an insanely gorgeous video shot with drone footage, that we used to announce our elopement to our family and friends. We also got our sneak peaks back so fast! He was really good at directing us, especially as a couple who has never taken professional photos together before. He just made the whole process, the entire day, so much fun. We genuinely had such a great time and they are memories that we will never forget! Elliot was on time, professional, friendly, an expert in his field, and he did an absolutely outstanding job at capturing the most magical day of our lives. I still cannot believe these are OUR wedding photos. Thank you for everything, Elliot!”

“Where do we even begin? Starting with our engagement shoot, Mark and Beth made us feel so comfortable, and were so good at capturing the way we feel about each other. They have a great eye for what will make a good shot and we’re super attentive to details. They made the shoot so fun and we ended up with a great mix of formal shots and more fun/spicy shots. We had originally planned to just do our engagement shoot with them, as we were getting married out of state but when we got the proofs back, there was no question about paying the travel cost to have them capture our wedding day. They were totally on top of the planning process and really let us be creative with the shots that we wanted and what the day was going to look like. They were there for us every step of the way, and will make you feel like you can handle anything your crazy aunt or creepy family friend is going to throw your way on your day - they’ve seen it all and they play defense for you. Wedding day rolls around and they’re in full on production mode. When I say that I didn’t have to worry about a single thing on the wedding day, I mean it. They had our schedule, kept us on track, and most importantly, they kept us relaxed. I cannot stress enough how special it was to have them both there to get both angles of all of the moments - it’s not something you really think about until you see how special it is to have both sides of the first looks, walking down the aisle, and the first kiss. As my husband and I talked about the day on our way to our honeymoon a few days later, we agreed that choosing Mark and Beth was by far the greatest decision we made for our day. We loved them, and they gave us the most precious memories to cherish for ever. Their work speaks for itself, there’s no question about that, but I think the most important thing they bring is the passion they have for what they do, and I think that’s what made us trust them as much as we did. We really could not have asked for a better pair to work with, and every one in our family LOVED them. If there was any recommendation I had for future brides, it’s to let Mark and Beth be your people.”

“We had an absolutely wonderful time working with Collective Grace (Kim and Karina!) for both our engagement pictures and for our whole wedding ceremony/reception!!! We had met them through a friends recommendation, and we consider ourselves so incredibly blessed with the experience we had and all the great memories captured! -They are very easy to work with and communicate with; we never felt worried about anything quite honestly. We had a smooth time planning out our wedding day and getting a mutual understanding of the timeline, places we wanted to take pictures, and what was most important to us too. They were great listeners at what we were going for, and also are a fantastic team at helping position us well and getting great shots right away. We recommend also using them for engagement photos to help get a head start on getting to know them and getting comfortable too for the big day; it worked out great in our case! -We most appreciated how they not only were able to capture great posed shots, but also did a wonderful job capturing priceless in the moment shots (that were not at all staged!). I attached one in black/white of us getting cheered at by a paddle tavern boat full of people, and we are so thankful Kim was on point to naturally capture the moment and pass it on to us forever! Throughout the reception & ceremony they were timely, on point with working with the venue/DJ, helped take care of us with a few small things, AND as a grand result we have hundreds of wonderful keeper photos! -We really felt well taken care of during our whole wedding experience, and would easily recommend working with Collective Grace to anyone!”
