Nu Standard was founded by accomplished multi-instrumentalist Derrick Hicks. Passionate about providing top-class wedding entertainment, this Texas-native has been playing instruments since his childhood. Lisa earned a Master of Music degree in Harp Performance at the University of Texas at Austin. She has performed as Principal Harpist with the Austin Civic Orchestra since 2010. Lisa has experience providing background music for a variety of events, including weddings, Sunday brunch at restaurants, art gallery openings, receptions, and assisted living/senior center events. Lisa has performed at holiday parties for Tiffany & Co. and for the Texas Secretary of State.
