Longacre boasts over 2 acres of boxwood and garden spaces to create a beautiful outdoor and English Garden wedding scene. We have several locations within the grounds for receptions and ceremonies to accommodate 25 to 150 guests. The Gazebo works as both a great wedding arch with the fountain area perfect for reception gathering of a Tudor house backdrop to your ceremony. Grounds can be rented for the day or the entire weekend, including the entire house and Carriage House for your caterer and wedding ready space. Make your wedding day the most unique and individually designed as you have dreamed. All catering services must be contracted through a third party. We can help you with tent and equipment rentals.

Poplar Hill is a 100 acre farm that was built in 1790. The home is surrounded by mature landscape with English boxwoods and crepe myrtles that are 100 plus years old. Every couple and family that comes to Poplar Hill tell us that our pictures do not do it justice! We take pride in the care of the house and grounds and cherish the opportunity to share it with others!

The Estate at River Run offers a dream setting to host a variety of elegant affairs. High on a bluff towering over the James River, this exquisite Georgian Revival offers 16,000 square feet of opulence, built by Taylor and Parrish Construction from 1981-1987. This stately Georgian features an upper brick promenade surrounded by a limestone balustrade and opens to a double curved staircase to the lower terrace. The mansion's interior boasts extravagant architectural embellishment. Marble floors, ornamental cornices, plaster friezes, 18-foot columns with gilded Corinthian capitals, and custom crystal chandeliers please the eye from the onset. Amherst is a community arts center and event space. It is a hub for the arts, small businesses, and community groups.. The facility can be leased for community events, musical performances, parties, weddings, and more. The old Amherst Baptist Church was the home of that church's congregation until 2005. Its sanctuary was constructed in 1882, making it the second oldest religious structure still standing in the Town of Amherst. Starting in 2012, a grassroots group took the initiative to save a historic structure in the heart of Amherst, VA, and to re-purpose it as a creative community center. Located in the middle of a vibrant village, the goal was to provide a gathering place for events. The class architecture and details of this circa 1880s historic building is sure to compliment any theme. The antique checkerboard flooring adds a touch of eclectic flair. The building also features two separate dressing/staging areas as well as a full catering kitchen.

Cooper's Landing Inn is located in the heart of Lake Country and is a part of Virginia's only lakeside town. Originally built in 1830, the main Inn is surrounded by beautiful grounds which include original outbuildings and our private cottages. While visiting, guests can enjoy the 1833 smokehouse which houses the hot tub, our wedding gazebo, the in-ground pool, sandbox for children, and patios and decks for special celebrations and events. Cooper’s Landing is truly a four-season destination. In the summer months, the in-ground pool provides guests with a cool retreat. Surrounded by a brick patio, the pool area is complete with bistro tables and loungers where guests can savor a blended cocktail or indulge with an item off our delicious pool menu. In the winter months, guests can have S’mores by the fire-pit or curl up next to the woodstove in Traveler’s Tavern.
