Artiva Strings is a string quartet based in Utah Valley, known for bringing elegance and energy to weddings, private events, and special occasions across the state! Formed in 2020, our quartet has played at countless venues throughout the valley. Our members—Kaitlin Booth (cello), Annalicia Loveridge (violin), Caitlyn Curry (viola), and Rebecca Dalgleish (violin)—first connected at school while working toward BA and MM degrees. Merinda Starnes has performed as a solo, orchestra, and ensemble musician since 2007. She received her degree in harp performance from the University of Utah studying under Dr. Cathy Clayton. During her college career, she performed with the University of Utah and University of Arizona’s Wind Ensemble and Philharmonic as their principal harpist. ​Her solo performing career started at the age of 9 and since then, she has played in over 100 weddings and events.

Bassist and bandleader Josh Levine got his start in the professional music business busking in SoHo with The Flying Neutrinos in ’93, so when NYC shut down in Spring of 2020, he capitalized on his experience as a street performer and began to play regularly in the parks of NYC with percussionist and sonero, Jainardo Batista, renowned flutist Itai Kriss making his debut on Cuban trés guitar, and María Raquel on vocals and minor percussion. Before long, the quartet had generated some buzz, several venues hired them to play outdoors and pianist Gabriel Chakarji and Grammy winning flutist and vocalist Jeremy Bosch became staples of the group.
