Nestled at the base of Barrett Mountain, Redbird Ridge is a scenic 72-acre estate. Beautifully restored early 1900s farmhouse and an historic 1800s cabin, both offering charm w/ modern conveniences. The estate includes a versatile and elegant venue ideal for weddings, rehearsal dinner, and parties boasting stunning mountain views for outdoor options. Extended space includes a 30’ x 40’ terrace and 16’ x 80’ pavilion that can be used as a lounge, cocktail hour, etc., a beautiful bridal suite and stately groom suite. In 1929, Jean-Pierre Auguste Dalmas, a Waldensian immigrant from Villar Pellice, Italy, started construction on the dairy barn on his property in Valdese, NC. After the barn had been completed, work began on the main house. He built a rock veneered masterpiece, large enough to house his 7 children. He cleared a field for a vineyard and until his death in 1972 (at the age of 92), he made wine in the basement of the main house every autumn.
