From the moment we saw a picture of Walden Retreats, we were in love with the place. Our first visit with Tim (who is no longer there, sadly) was incredible, and the entire process from booking to the big day was seamless. Tim made everything so easy, answering all of our questions with patience. After his departure, we had the pleasure of working with Amber, who was equally amazing. She kept everything on track and communicated with us every step of the way. The entire team, including the owners, was incredibly welcoming and made us feel at home from the very beginning. On our wedding day, the weather was perfect—chilly but sunny—and the views were absolutely stunning. It was the perfect backdrop for photos, and our guests couldn’t stop raving about the venue. We also had guests stay in the yurts, and they were beyond happy with their accommodations. The fact that Walden Retreats is dog-friendly was an added bonus—our dogs didn’t want to leave after such a wonderful weekend! We can’t wait to come back and celebrate our anniversary here. Highly recommend Walden Retreats for anyone looking for a beautiful, serene venue with exceptional service.

Legacy at Wrenwood Ranch

5.0

Johnson City, TX
  • Up to 150 guests
  • Raw space
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $3,500

At Wrenwood Ranch, we didn’t just build a venue — we designed a modern industrial farmhouse that’s a blank slate for your vision. Most venues force you into their style and rush you out after 5 hours. We flipped that model. Here, you get a space that molds to you—whether bold, timeless, or something no one’s seen before—plus the freedom of time and onsite lodging. With 7 private cottages that sleep 18 adults, your family and friends stay steps away from the party. That means no shuttle chaos, no stress, no 6 a.m. checkouts. Instead, you get the full weekend: arrive the night before, relax, wake up on the ranch, and savor coffee with loved ones the morning after. It’s not just a wedding day; it’s a stress-free, all-in-one experience that feels effortless. Bottom line: at Wrenwood Ranch you don’t just rent a building—you secure a weekend that delivers 10x the value for half the cost of other Hill Country venues.

  • Offers convenient lodging options
  • Dressing room available
  • Rustic yet refined style

Venue considerations

  • Does not provide event staff

From the moment we first reached out to the team at Legacy at Wrenwood Ranch, their communication was efficient, respectful, and highly informative. The venue itself is truly beautiful, with a modern farmhouse style that felt so warm and inviting. Their team handled the set-up and break-down of the space seamlessly, and also provided invaluable design help and gorgeous floral arrangements that elevated the entire look and feel of our wedding day. The venue was worth every penny, and we couldn't have asked for a better partner to bring our vision to life. We are so grateful to the Legacy at Wrenwood Ranch team for helping to make our special day perfect in every way.
