“My husband and I used Direct Entertainment for our DJ and videographer for our wedding and we could not be more pleased!! The team was professional, great at communication, very kind and professional, and they helped make our day absolutely perfect! Jeff, our DJ kept the dance floor alive ALL NIGHT!! When the music had to stop at the end of the night, the dance floor was still completely full and no one wanted it to end. He did a great job announcing the events of the night, made sure that our ceremony music was perfect, and he stuck to our wedding playlist with the exception for a couple guest requests (which we were happy to allow). We were so happy and thankful to have Jeff there! Sie, our videographer also did a wonderful job! We have not yet received our video as our wedding was less than 2 weeks ago, but I already know it is going to be amazing. He was so great with communication, was prompt with his timing, and he even set up a second camera for guests to break away and give us well wishes for our marriage, which I'm so excited to watch back. He was very professional and wonderful to work with. We decided to add videography at the last minute because we thought we might regret not having it, and I am SO happy we asked Jim at Direct Entertainment if they had someone available for our day just a month before, and they did!! Jim, the coordinator at Direct Entertainment frequently checked in with us, asked us questions about ourselves, and genuinely made us feel like he cared about us and our special day. He was great to work with leading up to being assigned our designated DJ and videographer, and even after, he checked in to make sure we were happy and that all of the planning was going well. Overall, we would 1000% recommend Direct Entertainment for any wedding entertainment needs! “Naked Soul (led by Tony and Tom Perrone) absolutely ROCKED at our wedding! Tons of friends and family told us during and afterwards that they were the best wedding band they'd seen, and we might be biased, but we agree wholeheartedly. They were also pretty great to work with, and as a result music was one of the least stressful parts of planning and one of the best memories of the event. The planning process was extremely professional — we had a few calls with Tony to talk over the vibe we were going for in the ceremony, cocktail hour, and dance floor. They sent over a list of a couple hundred songs in their repertoire and we picked 20 or so to anchor their idea of what we were looking for and selected our processionals, recessional, first dance, and parent-child dances. Our first dance was not on their list but they learned it and killed it in their performance. Our venue was a little non-traditional (relatively small room for the dance floorband) and we weren't sure that a full band was going to work in the space, but Tony put us at ease and pulled it off amazingly. One of the points Tony made in the run-up was that the songs we were picking were recommendations, not a set list. The band was going to follow the vibe and play more of whatever style was working with the crowd. This made it so much easier for us to pick songs, and in the end they played a lot of stuff that wasn't in our pics but went over better than we could have dreamed. I never thought I'd say that the best songs at my wedding were from the Backstreet Boys, Spice Girls, and Black Eyed Peas. They knew their audience and the place went wild when they played Everybody (Backstreet's Back). The range of songs that a 10-piece band with a full array of vocalists can pull off is wild. Anyway, 10/10, would book again. If you're in the New York area and looking for a party we can't recommend Perrone Bros/Naked Soul highly enough. Bonus, these pics were taken by Tony and posted to their Instagram after the event.”

“Brian is one of the best wedding DJs in the business. In the past two years I’ve been to eight different weddings. Brian was the DJ for three of the eight, and the party/reception component of the events was never more fun than when Brian was driving the bus. He is an east coast DJ, but he spun tracks at both of my sister-in-laws’ weddings and as we were searching for a DJ for our own wedding we reached out just to see what he would charge for a wedding in Chicago. Turns out the price was right. Brian traveled to Chicago, MC’d our entire wedding, brought all of the equipment necessary and made our day exceptional in every way. I think there are a few things that really set Brian apart from other wedding DJs. Anyone can stand there and run through a playlist, but Brian went off book a few times to match and capture the energy of the guests. As we were in the midst of the planning process he added zero stress, and just calmly walked us through the process of selecting songs. He had suggestions and recommendations along the way. He even brought an extra speaker so that we could plug our digital piano in and the pianist would be able to play loudly enough. Overall, we can’t recommend Brian highly enough. You will not regret choosing him to DJ at your wedding, party, event. Whatever it is, Brian is a huge value add and a pleasure to work with.”

Led by singer, songwriter, and recording artist Melody Rodriguez, the band can be heard in numerous styles such as Latin Pop, Boy Bands and 90’s nostalgia, while authentically performing standards and classics with powerhouse vocals.

“When looking for a band for a multicultural wedding, we knew they had to be special. Just the Melody was the first band we reached out to and it was clear from the onset that we didn’t have to look any further because we knew they were the ones. Throughout the entire experience, Melody and Edvin were an absolute dream to work with. They were incredibly responsive and took the planning process seriously while also keeping it fun. We were able to have multiple planning meetings where they clearly listened to our vision and more specifically the energy we were hoping to bring to the entire evening. Our wedding included multiple different musical moments that Just the Melody was able to provide with aplomb. The ceremony was romantic instrumental music that transitioned to modern pop instrumentals during the first half of the cocktail hour. Then a Mariachi band took over the second half of the cocktail hour with Melody providing gorgeous vocals for a few songs before the 12-piece band took over the magic for the rest of the night. The band with Edvin as MC matched the energy of our guests the entire night in a way we never expected. After our first dance, a beautiful rendition of Luis Miguel’s”Por Debajo De La Mesa”, the band moved right into a wondrous lineup of Latin music including Cumbia, Bachata, and Salsa that got our guests up and on their feet. From that point forward the dancing was nonstop with both American and Latin music filling the air. They also helped us celebrate the joining of our Jewish and Latino cultures by playing the Hora followed by La Vibora De La Mar. Edvin and Melody worked well with our venue to time our fathers’ speeches when our guests paused for a moment to eat and they were thoughtful with the tempo of the night by pairing this with our father/bride and mother/groom dances. After dinner they brought the energy right back up and we even got to see some of Edvin’s unreal dance moves when the 90s/2000s pop music started up. We could absolutely not believe it when they allowed us to come on stage and belt out one of our favorite songs (Jimmy Eat World’s “The Middle”). It was a living dream (especially for the bride). We cannot say enough how much both of us and all of our guests absolutely adored Just the Melody. We have been told multiple times by our guests that they didn't expect to go to a concert along with our wedding and that they loved every minute of it. And we did too. The music the entire evening was exceptional and better than anything we could have come up with in our wildest dreams for the evening. Thank you Melody, Edvin and the entire Just the Melody crew - we could not have chosen better for our wedding!!”

“My husband and I recently got married September 2023 at Hotel Providence in Rhode Island. Planning a wedding was one of the hardest things I ever had to do in my life. Finding the perfect vendor for each part of your wedding is hard. I spent many many days privately messaging people and trying to see who fits what I need for this day. I came down to the DJ. I found Josh of D and J entertainment. I read all his positive reviews and decided to give him a call. He without hesitation answered all my questions and drove from Massachusetts to Rhode Island to meet with us. Josh hands down is one of the coolest people you can talk to. He is very honest but in a good way. He lets you know was popular with weddings now and helps you out his spin on it. Josh’ company has amazing pricing. They are able to accommodate all weddings. With so much you have to pay for on this day it’s nice paying someone and feeling like your money is actually going to be used well with him. They arrived hours before the ceremony to set up. The hotel loved the company too and how polite they were. Josh came prepared with all the music we requested to hear that day. From the minute we walked down the isle to when everyone left. Josh kept playing amazing music. All night I wasn’t let down once by the song choice. In some areas the venue messed up on a few things. Example the cake cutting and first dance. The hotel really didn’t nail timing so josh Took complete control of the wedding and saved it truly. He made sure my cake cutting and first dance were memorable because the hotel slipped with this. Nothing like a DJ who saves the day too. The best part of it all while DJing Josh found time to take so many photos. He wasn’t asked or required to do so. He took it upon himself to take more professional photos for us. That’s what I call above and beyond. Couldn’t believe he went that far out of his way for us.
