Blooming Iris Designs

5.0

Philadelphia, PA

My name is Maggie and Blooming Iris Designs was inspired by my daughter. After 7 years as a wedding coordinator and being laid off due to covid, I wanted to find another way back into "wedding world." I stumbled upon a Floral Design Certification Program and decided to enroll. I then started my small business, out of my garage.

    Awarded Best of Zola
Blooming Iris Designs was an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding flowers. From the start, their communication was open, constant, easy, and reliable - making the process of selecting and finalizing our florals a breeze. The end result was truly spectacular, with high-quality, beautiful arrangements that perfectly complemented our color scheme. In fact, I didn't even have a specific preference on the type of florals to use, and they exceeded my expectations by creating something even better than I could have imagined. Blooming Iris Designs played a key role in making our special day look and feel so beautiful. I highly recommend them to any couple planning their wedding.

    SimplyCole Florals

    5.0

    Philadelphia, PA
    • Starts at $3,000

My whole life I have been inspired by all things beautiful and creative from the smallest wild flower, to incredible works of art. I try to embrace all beauty around me, into the work I do. I always knew an office job would not work well for my creative soul… this led me down many paths from carpentry, merchandising, interior design amongst many other pursuits… but the moment I made my first bouquet, I finally knew flowers were my ultimate passion. From that time on, I have never looked back into the rearview mirror, once I committed to becoming the best designer that I can be.

I was so happy Cole was available for our wedding date! I noticed her beautiful florals on Instagram when venue hunting and was immediately drawn to her whimsical style. Before booking, she created a mood board that perfectly captured my discussed vision and gave me a quote that fit my budget needs. During the wedding planning process, she was quick to respond to any and all questions or additions that I wanted to make via email and also did a final overview on the phone. The day of the wedding, Cole did an amazing job at bringing the vision to life! She completely exceeded my expectations! Everyone commented on how lovely the florals were (in addition to the colorful candles and citrus and greenery that she also added). Cole is simply amazing! Thank you so much Cole for making our day so so special!

Jay was absolutely incredible to work with. He was creative, helpful and on time. Plus— he has the most competitive pricing for florals by far, and his business (deservedly) gets so many referrals because of it! I was referred to him from weddings I had attended, and two of my bridesmaids have already booked his services for their own weddings! 100% highly recommend.

Why buy flowers when this is an option? Renting my flowers was such a good decision and they were absolutely beautiful. SBB makes the process so easy too. The flowers were lovely, they photographed well, and when we were done we sent them right back! A great option especially if you don’t want to spend a ton of money on floral arrangements.

      Woodland Floral Design Co.

      5.0

      • Serves Philadelphia, PA

Proud Cat & Dog Mom // Your New Wedding Vendor BFF It’s never been just about pretty flowers to me. I started out in social work because I wanted to serve and connect with others. I first entered the floral design world as an intern in 2016 and noticed a lack of originality in designs and a need for more connection between the florist and the couple. When I started WFD in 2019, I decided to prioritize both artistic designs and building long-term relationships with each couple. Planning my own wedding in 2021 gave me an even deeper appreciation for the importance of receiving creative expertise and genuine support from wedding vendors.

I had the absolute pleasure of working with Misha for my wedding, and I cannot recommend her enough! I was looking for whimsical arrangements that really took up space, with bright, vibrant colors, and a lot of personality - and she absolutely nailed it. The arrangements were bold, beautiful, and truly show-stopping. They were the talk of the wedding, with guests still complimenting the floral designs long after the event. Misha's communication throughout the process was fantastic, and not to mention, she's an absolute sweetheart! There were times when I wasn’t sure about certain details, and she was always there to fill in the gaps and offer her expert advice. The flowers turned out even better than we could have imagined. I’m so grateful for her attention to detail and her ability to bring my vision to life in such a stunning way. If you’re looking for gorgeous, unique florals that make a statement, Misha and Woodland Florals is your go-to!

Flower Moxie remains a humble, tucked-away small business out of Oklahoma City. We don’t zoom around on scooters in some fancy high-rise. I was so overwhelmed when I first started looking for florists for our wedding. There are so many options, and I didn’t even know where to start until I found Poppy. They break down the process and steps, making it super easy, almost to the point that it doesn’t feel real. To start, you meet with a floral consultant where you talk through your wedding details, the vibe you’re going for, the general needs, etc. Then they walk you through a list of various wedding floral options: bouquets, table arrangements, signage florals, ceremony florals, etc., and you start to narrow down what you want. In each section, they have a grouping of photos, and you can either select something from that or ask for more options. You can also tweak what they have shown (I picked florals that had eucalyptus in them and requested everything be switched to ruscus). After that, you have a while to go back in and adjust until a deadline, but they accommodated some last-minute adds I had as well. Our consultant was Sophia, and she was super responsive and wonderful to work with. Closer to the wedding, you get assigned a local florist who does the actual designing/styling and installing, and we were lucky enough to get Ron, who matched our inspo images EXACTLY. Everything was so beautiful, and I was so in love with my bouquet. He was also incredibly nice and set everything up so quickly. If you’re looking for something to make the whole floral selection easy, simple, and beautiful (also super transparent with costs), definitely go with Poppy!!

Believe it or not, we often have people ask if our pictures throughout our website are showing a mix of fresh and faux and…no they aren’t! Although fresh florals are pretty, we are totally in love with poser-blooms all the way here and that’s what we design 100% of our orders with.

      Ruby Rivers Floral

      4.9

      • Serves Philadelphia, PA

Hello, I’m Julia, owner of Ruby Rivers Floral, named after my oldest of four children, and only daughter. I am incredibly excited for your day! Making artwork with flowers to celebrate love has been bringing me so much joy for years, and truly feels like more than a dream come true. My favorite part about my company is being able to connect with couples and help them bring their vision to life with expressing the beauty of who they are in florals! Reach out to me through my website or Instagram. I can’t wait to chat!

COVID brides had it pretty rough! But Julia took a once planned 200 person wedding and scaled it down to an intimate boho style AMAZING day at her own house. Everything was seamless and working with Julia was true perfection. She took a vision and a handful of photos and turned it into something I never could have imagined. From the food, to decor, florals and more - our wedding was nothing short of amazing. I had a vision and some inspiration, but being in the hospitality industry myself, had no clue exactly what I wanted (or the time to truly plan it). Our wedding was absolute perfection and 100% the vibe that we envisioned. Looking at photos from our wedding, you can see the talent, creativity and beauty of who Julia is. We are so lucky to have met and worked with Julia and would recommend her to ANYONE.

A Floral Designs made our fairytale come true. Ayana and her team are incredibly talented, have an unmatched eye for detail/style, are communicative, and reliable. When we first reached out to A Floral, we chatted had been chatting with a few different florists. After our conversation with Ayana, the decision was easy. She listened to what we wanted and made it clear that she would get it right. Once we decided to go with her as our florist, the care and support didn’t stop. We visited her shop where she gave us beautiful displays of what we could expect on our big day. Most importantly, she worked with our budget to achieve our vision. Cascade Queens is the perfect florist if you’re looking into using wooden faux flowers! Dana was absolutely amazing to work with. I appreciated how she was so organized, informative, and genuinely helpful throughout the entire process. She regularly kept me updated on different promotions to help us stay within budget, which I really appreciated. One of the coolest parts of this experience was being able to choose my own color scheme and she designed the flowers exactly how I envisioned them. I highly recommend checking out their reference photos on Instagram or Facebook, because it really helped me get a sense of the floral styles I liked. Dana also worked with me to match everything to my color palette, offering great suggestions along the way. On my wedding day, she came in while we were getting ready and set everything up beautifully. She even sent me photos during setup to confirm I liked the placement. The floral displays on the tables were gorgeous, and the pergola she decorated turned out stunning! She also shared helpful tips on how to re-use the ceremony florals for the cocktail hour and reception tables/decor, which saved us on cost and over-ordering. At the end of the night, Dana came back to retrieve the larger pieces and centerpieces, but we got to keep our beautiful bouquets and boutonnieres. I highly recommend Cascade queens for your floral needs, Dana is amazing and I’m going to keep my beautiful florals forever!

The flowers (on our order) came in large boxes, but they were not labeled, so it took a minute to get the flowers both identified and properly set up. To be fair we were warned about the process, but not about the length of time due to our inexperience. As a note, it took my fiancé 5 hours to process the flowers when first receiving them. I also did not have any updates from them from the time I ordered till they were being shipped. They were beyond more affordable compared to other florists, and the flowers arrived alive and in good spirits. We were able to keep the flowers alive for over four days!! Many of the flowers that we chose did not have specific instructions, so we had to follow the general reference for the flowers and hope for the best. Additionally, some of the flowers that we wanted were not in stock, and they were replaced for us with substitutes but were not notified until we had all of the flowers already delivered to us. Also, as a note, bloom culture uses third party sellers for their flowers, so the quality may vary depending on location. Our flowers were in good condition, and the company we had clearly took good care of the flowers prior to delivering them to us. Would we do it again? Probably not, but it made for good laughs and bonding time and we have stories to tell from it!
