My foundation in floral design began on a small flower farm in Vermont over 10 years ago, where I immersed myself in the full lifecycle of the work—planting, harvesting, and arranging blooms directly from the field. That experience shaped my style: deeply seasonal, textural, and guided by an intuitive understanding of form and color. My aesthetic is loose and intentional, layered with luxurious texture and touched by a sense of intentional wildness. A steward of sustainable design, I avoid floral foam and plastics, and aim to use local materials wherever I can to have the lightest footprint on our planet possible.

Fair Isle Floral is an event driven floral design studio based in Portland, Maine and servicing New England. The studio offers both full service design, set up, and break down of your event, as well as a la carte options for intimate gatherings and elopements. Fair Isle Floral specializes in natural, garden led design and uses primarily local products to firmly root your event's atmosphere in place and season.

I started my business in 2018, after I finished floral design classes from Cass School of Floral in Watertown, MA. I have had hands on experience from Floral Arts in Westford, MA and have completed over 75 weddings in my time as a floral designer. I have a little intern named Larry, a corgi-pit mix, who is the model for Little Blooms, who you will see a lot of on Instagram. I love using locally grown flowers as much as I can in my work, to really showcase 'farm to florist'.

My business started when I was planning my own wedding. In came wood flowers! After much practice, I discovered I have an eye for colors and floral design and now 4 years and MANY weddings and THOUSANDS of home decor pieces later, this is not only my passion but it is also my full time business. Jessica is a floral designer and event stylist born and raised in Southern New Hampshire. Like most passions in life, Jessica’s love for flowers and plants started at a young age. From making fairy houses out of rocks, branches, and moss in her backyard to planting her own garden with her grandmother each summer. During college Jessica had the opportunity to work for a few florists in her home town as well as her college town. It was there she realized what she grew up loving so much could become a career. After graduating from the University of New Hampshire in 2018, Jessica opened her first studio out of her home to pursue her passion.
