“I cannot begin to put into words my thanks to Adesuwa for the incredible magical cake she made for our wedding! It was everything I dreamed of and more. I don't know how she did it - but she really incorporated everything I asked and hoped for. Not only that, but her expert guidance helped me along the way to make choices about a cake that would be truly meaningful to me in the long run, and not just look like every other cake out there that people are doing now. I'm so grateful for that.
The way that she brought in color and the tropical fruit in the middle of WINTER to speak to our Brazilian and Mexican heritages is what brought it over the top for me. Adesuwa truly went above and beyond. Of course, all of that would have been beautiful on its own, but the taste and quality of the cake was to die for!!! Adesuwa is absolutely a master of her craft. Our guests were blown away!
So many things go wrong during a wedding (and went wrong for us) and there were many disappointments for me. There were also many places I wish I would have been able to make more special / meaningful to our cultures, backgrounds and personal lives but weren't able to because of cost. Additionally, my entire Brazilian family weren't able to be there because of the high cost and challenge of flying here from the south of Brazil. So, to have this cake, we were able to bring more meaning and personal detail to our day, and it really means the world to me for so many reasons. Especially because the cake was paid for by my grandmother in Brazil, from whom I'm sure I got my obsession with cakes, and had a say in the design!
