She was fun but professional, everyone loved her, and the photos are beyond anything I could have hoped for.
We were not the easiest customers. First, our venue was a museum, not a wedding venue, so she had to be creative and work around a space not designed for weddings. Jessica was unperturbed. She considered everything: where the sun would hit, what time to be where, and how to account for different types of weather. At the end of the day, the photos look like they were not taken in a museum, but belong in a museum. Second, my husband does not like being in photos or having any attention on him whatsoever. When told to smile for the camera, he usually makes a face like he just smelled bad eggs. I do not know what kind of wizard Jessica is, but she is definitely magic. She put him at ease and managed to capture sincere, loving looks. Third, she indulged and hyped up all of my silly ideas, like our first look, which I did in an inflatable dinosaur costume. She reflected exactly the balance of quirky and classy I was going for in our photos.
When I got engaged, I envisioned being surrounded by my closest, most cherished friends and family. I did not think about the fact that there would also be a virtual stranger there trying to catch it all on tape. Jessica and I spent almost the entire day together, and it was great. She managed to capture intimate moments without ever being intrusive, but she was not a wallflower either. She was helpful, fun, and truly a joy to be around, making a special day even more special.”
