Schaffer Sound Disc Jockeys is a family owned and operated business. Our founder, Ken Schaffer, started the company in 1977 at the ripe old age of fourteen! He started providing DJ entertainment for grade schools and parties and as he grew older demand for his company’s services soared. Soon, those same students he was playing for in school gymnasiums and cafeterias were getting married and many hired his company to perform at their weddings. Ken gradually handed the reins of the company over to the very capable hands of his brothers, Jon and Dave Schaffer.

Dj McVibes found a job at a production/entertainment company where he learned the ins and outs of being a wedding/event dj. From there he started to dj on his own as he became more confident and has done many Weddings/events and still continues. He later also took more courses to learn more about djing such as scratching and live mashups, but also took courses on how to produce his own music.
