The Inn at Leola Village was a fantastic, amazing, and efficient wedding venue that exceeded our expectations. Gianna, the event coordinator, was absolutely incredible and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the entire wedding day. She was incredibly organized and thorough during the planning process, taking an enormous weight off our shoulders. She went above and beyond for us throughout the entire process. The venue itself was a great size and well-appointed. The areas to take photos was great and exactly what I was searching for as my background. While we wish we could have used a different vendor for the flowers, overall the value and all-inclusive package were well worth the price. We are so grateful to Gianna and the entire team at The Inn at Leola Village for making our special day run so smoothly.

Our wedding was in August 2024 and we held our reception at The Rose. Even before we signed our contract, Patricia had great communication, was a wealth of knowledge, made us feel comfortable, and answered all of our questions. Then based on the day we selected for our reception, Emily was our day of coordinator. Emily is just as detail oriented and communicative as Patricia. They make an excellent team, are a pleasure to work with, and are phenomenal at what they do. Truly! They know every question to ask to ensure every detail is executed to your vision and that's exactly what happened. Our day was absolutely perfect. We got so many compliments on the venue and the food! We chose their BBQ menu, an assortment of desserts (the churros were a big hit), and late night snacks. We can't recommend The Rose Venue, Patricia, Emily, and The Rose team enough!

Where to even begin! First off, my wife and I had a fairly large wedding for NYC, roughly 200 people, so when we started to look at venues, we were so nervous about what we would find. Rule of Thids was actually the first venue we saw, and we were blown away by the space. If you’re renting out the full venue, you get access to the entire restaurant, plus the event space, as well as the outdoor area. It makes the flow of the wedding so nice, so everyone wasn’t crammed into one space as they were trying to flip it for the ceremony, dinner, and dancing. We were also able to rent out the photo studio attached to the sake shop to get ready in, so we were on-site all day, which was AMAZING. We could easily discuss things with our day-of coordinator, florist, etc., and the space was so large and had impeccable light (our makeup artist and hair stylist were super happy with it!). We chose to use the venue coordinator, Julie, as our day of coordinator, and we cannot say enough good things about her. She was incredibly responsive, super organized, and comes from the wedding industry, so she brought up things that we didn’t even think to consider for the day of that were so helpful. Beyond that, she was so pleasant to work with and just had an amazing, chill vibe that everyone wants from their coordinator on the wedding day. It was also amazing that she works at the venue, so she knew all the ins and outs of the space and could easily coordinate with our other vendors. She helped ensure the bridal party was in the right places at the right time, moved people from room to room when needed, and helped us stay on track with the flow of the wedding, which was perfect and so seamless. She and the ROT team set up the entire space exactly as we envisioned, and everything looked beautiful! The venue is honestly perfect for a wedding. We were able to use private dining spaces in the venue for a photobooth and coat closet, plenty of bathrooms (not something you think about until you go to a wedding with too few!), an amazing outdoor space for guests to cool down/get away from the noise, a huge dance floor area, spacious dining room, and so many bars for our guests to go to. The staff were all amazing, endlessly refilling drinks and food, and everyone was incredibly nice. Even after all of the amazing things above, the best part about Rule of Thirds is the food. From the cocktail hour to the dessert, this food is amazing and well beyond typical wedding standards. We had so many guests tell us how good everything was, and we were told this was the first wedding at the venue where every single canape and raw bar item was eaten, so our guests were very happy! (if you can, splurge on the raw bar because it was so good!!) After the ceremony, they set up a spot for us to sample all the canapes and raw bar items, which we were super thankful for since we would never have eaten anything otherwise. We also had a very specific request for a mazeman noodle dish we had eaten when we toured the space a year prior, and the chef and team made it happen for us, which was AMAZING and so incredibly delicious. If you’re looking for a wedding venue and considering Rule of Thirds, DO IT! We wish we could relive the day all over again because it was so amazing, and we will forever be hoping someone else we know gets married here so we can experience something similar again.

Our experience with Farm to People was nothing short of perfect. The very beginning of our NYC venue search was somewhat disappointing; we had a unique, sorta non-traditional vision for our wedding and had trouble finding a venue that could help us properly execute on that vision. Enter: Farm to People. From our very first conversation with Rachel, to visiting the space, to our tasting, to the day of the wedding, FTP not only helped bring that vision to life — they honestly made it better. Every single guest RAVED about the food, the drinks, the service, the staff, and the space. They nailed everything. The night was not only amazing, it was so thoroughly us and we genuinely couldn’t ask for more. People always say the wedding planning process is stressful, but Rachel made it an absolute breeze (and honestly, pretty fun!) Not to mention, it was invaluable to find a company, team, and space whose values of sustainable and ethical agriculture aligned with our own. We had the best, most fun night of our lives and it wouldn’t have been possible without Rachel, Michael, Mikayla, and the entire FTP team. We genuinely can’t thank them enough and we look forward to being life-long Farm to People customers!

My daughter and her husband chose Milton Ridge for their wedding venue. I live on the opposite coast so I had no opportunity to have a look myself. She and her husband were very happy with the layout of the property and the location. She assured me that staff were warm and friendly as well as very professional and that all questions were addressed promptly and in great detail. My daughter and her husband felt listened to and respected by everyone at Milton Ridge. I was anxious but it was their wedding and they had done a lot of research! I am overjoyed that they chose Milton Ridge for their very special day!! I spoke to many guests and family members that day and evening; everyone had high praise for the couple’s choice of venue. The property is self-contained with a beautiful turn of the century chapel on the lower level of the property and a very large bricked patio on the upper level; with an enormous wooden gazebo at one end and tiered garden area at the opposite end. Indoor or outdoor wedding?? Hard to choose as both areas are sooooo lovely. The Bridal suite and Grooms quarter are in a building adjacent to the chapel on the lower level of the property. Another turn of the century building with Bridal suite, porch and porch swing on the ground level and the Grooms quarters on the 2nd level via a private enclosed stairway; providing total privacy for both parties and their respective entourages. Both areas were very well appointed, comfortable and large; plenty of room for multiple people in each area to get ready for the big day! The Reception Hall was on the upper level with a porch and short stairway leading from the hall to the outdoor patio. The Hall was fresh and bright with plenty of room for DJ, tables, dance floor, bar and buffet without feeling overfilled or crowded. Bride and Groom chose the bar-b-que menu for their dinner; it was beautifully presented, delicious and plentiful. No one left Milton Ridge hungry that evening! The wait staff and bartenders were all very attentive and had obviously been very well trained at table service and bar service respectively. Music was provided by a DJ who was contracted by Milton Ridge and was included with the package that my daughter and her husband had chosen. The selection was a mix of old and new with the focus of getting the guests up and dancing. He was very good at his job and he accomplished his goal! Last but definitely not least; the photographer; also contracted with Milton Ridge! He was amazing!!! The unique shots, quality and beauty of his work left us speechless. He was everywhere, but never in the way, always inconspicuous and watching for that perfect candid shot. Even his posed photos had a very relaxed casual look about them. All photos were organized and available to the newlyweds on the Milton Ridge website within 10days of their wedding day!! ALL pictures belong to her and her husband to print, copy and share with whoever they wish!! Milton Ridge exceeded my expectation and I would never hesitate to recommend them to anyone!!

From the very beginning, we knew we were in great hands with Meryl and the team at Bacchus. They were incredibly responsive, accommodating, and easy to work with. They answered all our questions and made planning our 80-person wedding feel totally stress-free. On the day-of, everything was perfect, Our guests are still raving about it weeks later —it was genuinely that good. And not your typical wedding fare at all. The wine selections were also amazing (thank you Khaza). Everything was paired and plated so well. The service from the whole team was also flawless throughout the evening. Meryl was amazing at making everything run as smooth as butter. She even planned out a weather contingency for dining which turned out incredibly fortunate. We couldn’t have imagined a better place to celebrate our big day. Huge thanks to Meryl, Khaza, and the entire Bacchus team for making our wedding so perfect. We’ll definitely be back for many future date nights, and would recommend Bacchus for any and all special occasion dinners and events, weddings and otherwise. I cannot say enough good things about our experience here. From Min and Morten, to all the advisors that helped us, to all the staff who worked the venue for set up, the cooks, the servers, the bartenders, and not to mention how insanely good the food was - every single aspect of this place and the people there were truly magnificent. I was excited to marry the love of my life, sure, but after 16 years together I really viewed this as just a big party to celebrate with all the people in our lives. I expected and welcomed that view. To say it exceeded expectations is overwhelmingly unfair - it completely blew my mind how amazing the whole day was, honestly the whole weekend since there was also the rehearsal and breakfast the morning after, and I cannot express how grateful I am for how the whole experience turned out. I know I had loved the venue itself when we first visited, and that I thought the food was absolutely amazing during the food tasting, but it ended up being even more gorgeous on the day and the food for 150 people was still all so delicious that not one guest didn't mention at least one of the apps/ entree throughout the night and following day. One of my brides people who is quite the foodie snob keeps mentioning how juicy the chicken was. Seriously though, the food was just phenomenal. I never like cakes at weddings (they're always beautiful but don't taste good) and had planned on getting cake pops for my wedding, but at the food tasting I was just shocked at how amazing it was that I had to have that cake for the day. I would recommend this venue, and this staff, so whole heartedly. If any of the staff read this review, thank you all for making our special day one that will forever be a heartwarming memory.

My partner Sky and I had the dream summer wedding we envisioned at Seven Ponds. For our wedding we wanted to emulate these weekend trips we do upstate with a close group of friends and just make it bigger to include our family. Seven Ponds farm provided our two requirements of what we were looking for - a big house that could fit all our friends and a swimming pond right on the property. We also really appreciated that we didn't need to hire a wedding planner and could utilize the venues resources for all the planning aspects. We really appreciated how the Seven Ponds staff let us do our own thing throughout the weekend for a really relaxed environment, but then whenever we needed them they were right there helping with things like doing a practice run of the ceremony and answering specific questions about the house etc. It was also so wonderful that the staff were able to handle things like setting up the tables and the candles for us for the wedding dinner. Overall the forms and calls for the planning process were really helpful. We did have a little frustration at the wedding tasting as we thought it was an opportunity to ask questions about the food and overall found out that they really don't want you asking many questions and would prefer you to just read the written packet they provide without interacting in person with questions. I would also recommend being well versed on the packet you purchased as they won't be able to answer questions about what packet you bought. This was a bit different than we expected and knowing what I know now I might recommend not bringing family or friends to the tasting or otherwise just preparing them to just fill out the paperwork quietly as us not realizing this made for a more difficult tasting experience. There was also one staff member at the tasting who was a bit rude to our family members and I was so worried that this negative energy would be reflected at our wedding so I asked for a different wedding coordinator to lead our wedding. Overall the impersonal nature of the tasting also just made me really worried that the wedding would have the same feel and so I wanted to include this to note that while the tasting process wasn't as personal this was not the case at the wedding and the wedding atmosphere was really lovely. After the tasting I asked for Rosie to be our lead wedding coordinator as she had a much warmer energy and I can't recommend Rosie enough. She truly made our wedding experience. If you're looking for a wedding coordinator who has a graceful upbeat energy, stays calm and is easy to communicate with definitely ask for Rosie. There was a big storm on the day of our wedding and Rosie was so helpful staying calm and telling me to not loose hope about doing the ceremony outside. Morten was also really great with a specific weather device he had that allowed us to see when we had a good window to do the ceremony outside and very happy to say it all worked out and we got our dream outdoor ceremony. Overall I really got the wedding I dreamed of and we had such a relaxed and personal atmosphere. We really appreciated all the work the staff did to set up the wedding which allowed us to really just have fun, enjoy and not worry about logistical details. We so appreciated the flower package the venue provided for setting up the flowers and the bonfire packages. Overall we loved our wedding so much and are so happy we went with Seven Ponds! :)

The venue itself is a stunning stone building adding to the romantic vibe. The drinks flowed during the cocktail hour held in the bar and entire restaurant. No waiting for drinks, the bartenders kept everyone served and the appetizers delicious. Moving into the reception area flowed wonderfully and the space accommodated the guests with ample room for dancing and the DJ. The food is gourmet and the selection amazing with impeccable service. We chose The Factory Event Center for our daughter’s wedding, and couldn’t have been happier with the decision. From our first meeting through the final goodbyes, April and her team were thoughtful, organized, and made everything easy. The gardens are truly a highlight. We toured in late spring, and were wondering how the garden ceremony space would look in the fall — it turned out to be absolutely breathtaking and the perfect backdrop. Every detail during the event ran smoothly: the setup, the coordination, the flow, and the atmosphere. Guests kept commenting on how beautiful everything was. We are so grateful to April and everyone at The Factory for making our daughter’s wedding joyful, memorable, and stress-free.

We couldn't have asked for a more perfect wedding venue than Threes Brewing in Gowanus. From the very beginning, Angie and Dave, the coordinators, were an absolute dream to work with. They were incredibly responsive and proactive, thinking of every detail so we didn't have to (Angie even kept an eye on the Doppler for us!). They likened themselves to built in Planner, and they delivered! On the night of the wedding, the amazing staff, including Fletcher, Sarah, and countless others, made sure we were fed and taken care of far beyond closing time. They were not only professional but also genuinely fun, leaning into our theme and even dancing along with us. The space itself was exactly what we envisioned. The backyard was a beautiful, intimate setting for our ceremony with its gorgeous greenery, while the main bar provided a perfect, open yet cozy aesthetic for our welcome drinks and dancing. The flow between the two spaces felt seamless and comfortable for all our guests. And the food! Our guests are still raving about the delicious meal from Grand Army. The mac and cheese, chicken, and mapo tofu were all incredible, and they easily accommodated every dietary need we had. If you're looking for a unique, all-inclusive, and genuinely fun wedding venue in Brooklyn with an expert team, look no further than Threes Brewing. We highly recommend them!

This was the most amazing experience ever! We had our wedding at Threes Brewing at their Greenpoint location and from start to finish, Angie was exceptional and so, so, SO kind and helpful to us. She was extremely responsive to all our questions and concerns, and always made the effort to respond as soon as possible. The wedding industry and wedding planning process is so tough and stressful, but Angie went out of her way to make sure we were taken care of and she accommodated every concern and change we had. Not to mention, the food & drinks were amazing! Our guests still rave about the food and cocktails they were served, and every person says that the food and drinks were the best they've ever had at a wedding, which is super high praise! We could not have done this without Angie and the team at Threes Brewing, and would really suggest either of their locations as a perfect wedding venue for a couple looking for something that's intimate and cozy, and have amazing food and drinks!

We had the most amazing time at Diamond Mills Hotel! The venue is BEAUTIFUL, and the staff is wonderful to work with. My husband and I also loved exploring Saugerties! Planning a wedding in two months was challenging, but booking Diamond Mills for our wedding venue was the best decision ever! We loved working with Stephanie, Carrie, and Brianne. They are highly organized and professional. Our wedding day was truly magical! Our guests had a wonderful time! We also really appreciate how the staff working on the day of our wedding ensured that my husband and I ate well (and remembered to eat as we interacted with our guests). The food served was delicious and we loved our wedding cake! Another great thing about booking the wedding at Diamond Mills is that the hotel is attached to the wedding venue - it was very convenient for us and our guests! We received a good discount for our hotel block. The wedding package they offer at Diamond Mills Hotel is truly well-rounded! Beautiful venue with indoor and outdoor spaces, catering, open bar, wedding cake, and supportive and amazing staff to help you plan your wedding and ensure that everything runs smoothly during the day of the wedding all for a reasonable price! Stunning wedding venue that can meet so many of your needs. We booked Fall Line for our wedding and had a great experience. They have separate reception and ceremony space, and your booking comes with chairs for each space and all tables and linens. They also do the bar themselves since they are attached to the brewery the owners run which saves so much money on booking a bar. You cannot beat their price for a venue like this! The staff were professional and helpful throughout the process from inquiry to our actual event. They’re training quite a few new staff right now so we had to give them a few reminders - but that’s understandable. They still kept everything organized, and our wedding went off without a hitch. I would recommend booking the parking lot option they tell you about - that helped our guests tremendously and avoided any parking issues!

About wedding venues

How much do wedding & reception venues cost?

The cost of wedding venues varies, with factors influencing cost including size, location, guest count, and, most importantly, whether things like catering and rentals are included. The more a reception venue near you includes, the higher the cost. When considering venues, try to compare prices apples-to-apples. If one venue includes catering and rentals in their pricing and the other doesn’t, you need to figure out how much additional cost those outside vendors would be to make a true comparison. Before booking, be sure you’re aware of additional costs outlined in your contract, like parking fees and weather-related considerations (adding a tent, etc.).

What questions should we ask wedding venues?

When talking with a potential venue, always ask about 1) their availability and 2) their capacity. Some popular venues book up peak season Saturdays nearly 2 years in advance—if your first choice date isn’t available, consider your flexibility on day of the week and year. While maximum capacity is non-negotiable, venues might have guidance on what guest count will be most comfortable. Also, you’ll want to understand what is and is not included in the venue’s fees. Some include catering, tables and chairs, and linens, while others offer just the raw space. These venues are often less expensive because you are only paying for the space itself, and you’ll have to bring in outside vendors
