My husband and I initially reached out to her because she had photographed weddings at our original venue, and we were completely sold after looking through her portfolio. He followed up thoughtfully over email and offered to set up a call. From the moment we started talking, I felt like I was catching up with an old friend. He was clearly the most capable person I had spoken to, and by the end of the call, I was completely sold on him and his team. I had my heart set on a documentary-style photographer, and I was especially drawn to Stuart’s work. I followed his portfolio online and was continually impressed with every post. Leading up to the wedding, John was more of a help than he probably realizes. He took the reins on scheduling the entire day — something that should’ve been in my wheelhouse (I’m a planner and a project manager by day), but somehow felt incredibly daunting. “Rob was sooo amazing! Long story short, we hired him for our wedding but we ended up moving our states wedding to destination. We asked if we can put our deposit towards an engagement shoot instead. He did such an amazing job and he was so prepared day of. He bought his equipment and even a DRONE!! We went to two locations, the American Museum of Natural History and the Castle on the Upper West side of Central Park. He let us be us but also posed us. We felt at ease and taken care of. He sent us back the photos pretty quickly too! 11/10 recommend!!”
