I’ve always had a love for flowers and a passion for creating beautiful things! My love for flowers and weddings started eary, long before I ever held a bouquet of my own. I grew up watching my grandmother work in the floral and wedding industry, and some of my earliest memories are of modeling flower girl dresses at bridal shows, wide-eyed at the beauty and joy all around me. Those experiences left a lasting impression, and it's no surprise that I eventually found my way back to this world, creating floral designs that bring happiness and meaning to others.

At Bittersweet Gardens, I feel so lucky to do what I love: growing beautiful flowers and turning them into stunning wedding designs that tell your love story. As a farmer-florist with over 25 years of experience, I’ve learned how to cultivate blooms that perfectly reflect the magic and emotion of each special day. It’s a true joy to grow these flowers from the ground up—quite literally! But what truly makes this work special is getting to meet so many wonderful couples. I believe that if you choose to have your wedding in Montana, the flowers should fit the landscape you fell in love with. I source nearly all flowers used in my designs from Montana growers. The flowers themselves lend themselves to a wide array of styles and color palettes. I focus on sustainability and community with all my designs and this creates the underpinnings of intentionality and results in chemical free, seasonal flowers.

I started working with wood flowers in February of 2020. A friend of mine had recently gotten married, and seeing her bouquet in the trash stuck with me. I researched fresh vs silk flowers, fresh are stunning but expensive & have a fast expiration date. Silk flowers didn’t really satisfy the customization and realism that I desired. I stumbled across wood flowers, purchased a few & quickly realized that not only was I actually a little talented at what I was doing, but I absolutely LOVED doing it. I fell in love almost immediately. I want to express my love & passion for these wood flowers & I want brides to fall in love the same way I did.
