A wedding catered by the experienced staff of The French Gourmet is a stress-free and delicious experience! Don’t let the “French” in our name mislead you. We offer delicious menus in many types of cuisine! We customize every proposal to suit your special vision and reflect your personality as a couple. Our team is familiar with many of the wedding venues in San Diego and can suggest the logistics necessary to make your day worry free. The French Gourmet will work with you and your budget, depending on your chosen location, service level and menu. Feel free to contact us and we will create a scenario for your review.

The French Gourmet has been in business for over 40 years. We create every culinary experience from scratch in our in-house bakery and restaurant. The menus are prepped in our kitchen and our event chefs, event managers and staff prepare and serve your feast on location resulting in a fresh, delicious experience.

    Paid for Full Service; Got a Full Show Instead

    Our experience with The French Gourmet Bakery and Catering was mixed. While they were kind and understanding of personal circumstances in the planning process, we found their staff to be quite inexperienced and unprofessional on the day of our wedding. The bartenders struggled to even open a bottle of wine and didn't know how to make basic drink orders like "on the rocks." Their setup was visually appealing and brought our vision to life, but the overall service left much to be desired. Our guests are still making jokes about the staff 5 months later. We would not recommend The French Gourmet Bakery and Catering based on our experience. The food was good. Brides family was One of the last tables served. They had a tip jar out and requested additional 40 per server. Additionally we have 800 wedding equipment that was not returned with our stuff; we had to follow up with the venue multiple times where it was located weeks after.
