I use photography as an exchange. An exchange of memories, thoughts, experiences, artistic expression, and time. Photography will always be some sort of a belief system in practice. It's not a business ordeal but a collaborative tool in the way that light shapes literally and figuratively every moment. I am passionate about photographing someone's soul within an experience. I have been photographing weddings since 2008.

I have a degree and career in color science so my pictures are of the real moments that are candid and I do not use fad filters. I use the natural beautiful light and use it to create real memories, not a photoshoot. I have done photography in all forms in art and science. I worked with camera engineering for 8 years but I am an artist first and foremost and I left that job in 2021 and am back to my creative endeavors.

    Ellie Stover Photography was perfect for our wedding photography. Communication style was concise yet soft, putting us at ease. The quality of her work was original, creative, and it was clear they were deeply invested in capturing the magic of our special day. Ellie proposed the best lighting for the location (castle ruins on a hilltop) and figured out the perfect timing to make it work seamlessly. We even made a fun mini "hobbit adventure" out of our portrait session, which resulted in some of our most unique and cherished photos. The colors captured that morning were incredible. We are thrilled with the final images and could not recommend Ellie Stover Photography more highly.

    Ellie was incredibly thoughtful and asked our wishes/style/vibes in advance. Ellie was able to capture not only the big powerful moments but also the soft tender pure moments. I’m so thankful for her technique and expertise. Pictures wouldn’t have been as meaningful with any other photographer.
