I aim to create an editorial feel throughout all my work, wedding photography included. It is important to me that the photographs are effortless and elegant, as well as fun, current, and luxurious. I transfer my knowledge from the world of fashion photography to create a truly unique sense of timelessness, beauty and presence.

I am passionate about the connection between two humans - their love and the story that has brought them to this moment. My approach is calm and intentional. I am not here to manufacture perfection, I am here to document what is real - so that years from now, your photographs don't just show hot it looked... but how it felt.

I cannot recommend Helena enough. My husband and I wanted someone who could provide an artistic view of our day, rather than the traditional classic wedding portraits you typically see, and she executed this perfectly. Helena captured an authentic view of our wedding, making sure to photograph details, including candids, and provide portraits that didn't seem "stiff." She was organized and communicative from the start, making sure to set up a meeting to get to know us and understand what our vision was. On the day of the wedding, she showed up on time and ready with a plan to ensure we stuck to our timeline. We told her of a few shots we definitely wanted, including family portraits, but otherwise we trusted her artistic view and let her lead the way, and it did not disappoint. I can't say that my husband and I are comfortable in front of a camera, but her direction was clear and effortless, and it made us feel like we knew what we were doing; after the first half hour, we felt more than comfortable with her. Our wedding was on a Friday, and by Monday, she delivered an amazing amount of previews to share with family and friends. We are so excited to see our full gallery and to relive the day!!

Helena Raju exceeded our expectations of a wedding photographer and if we were getting married again next year we would use her services again! From the very beginning Helena was communicative, professional, and thorough. We met a number of times leading up to the wedding day to ensure the day go smoothly. I felt Helena really worked to understand my vision while also providing her expertise from her vast experience. She helped with the day of timeline and showed flexibility to adjust based on guests and weather. The day of, Helena put my husband and I at ease. We asked for her to be more hands on with posing our portraits and she walked us through it all step by step. It was freezing out and she remained cheerful and focused the whole time. Helena really has an eye for high end but she also is excellent at capturing traditional family formals and candids. Helena delivered the preview and full package quickly and she provided so many photos. We received our preview on our honeymoon which was really fun! My husband and I, our families, and our guests all loved the photos! I felt she really was able to capture the essence of the day and am so happy we worked with her!
