Hi! My name is Alyssa and I am the one behind the camera at Mae Photo Co. I live in the wonderful city of Grand Rapids with my husband, Andrew our daughter, Maeve and our two dogs: Fern and Zayda. I admire my family, marriage, real relationships, indoor plants, laughter, the comfort of home, and creating beautiful art through photographs. My love for photography started way back in high school yearbook and continued on where I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Photojournalism at Cornerstone University.

I firmly believe that part of my calling on Earth is to create timeless photographs of real moments for people to enjoy. My favorite parts about being a photographer are the people I meet along the way and how uniquely different everyone loves. Now lets chat, I would love to meet you and I would be honored to document this stage in your life!

    Alyssa at Mae Photo Co is an incredible photographer, and I would recommend her highly! From the start, she was excellent. We had a shorter engagement, so she promptly scheduled our engagement shoot once we booked her - and the photos turned out amazing! She also met with us far in advance to plan the timeline for the day, and she was excellent with communication leading up to the big day. On the wedding day, she arrived on-time with her second shooter and got started on the photos! She was independent and got tons of candid photos without being asked. She was so upbeat and encouraging and made everything seem effortless. She was so fun to photograph with and make us feel super comfortable - even my husband thought so! Our preview photos were sent to us within a couple days of the wedding, and they turned out INCREDIBLE. I am so excited to see more of the photos, which should be within a month of the wedding date, per communication I've received from Alyssa. In summary, I am so so so pleased with Alyssa's work, and I am so glad I booked her for my wedding! She is kind, trustworthy and remarkably talented!
