Im the photographer who is going to tell you that your wedding should not be centered around photos. I don’t like things that are meant to look real but aren’t. I value a good experience over a scripted + edited moment.

My goal as a photographer is to truly let my clients be themselves and live the most important moments to the fullest, without worry that the pictures will somehow suffer for it. And the trust they put in me to prove to them that completely abandoning all expectations in photos will actually produce ones that are even better, that will stand the test of time and make them feel exactly the way they did in that moment, even years later.

Picture Perfect at Pictured Rocks

Karly was beyond incredible and we couldn’t have asked for a better representation for our day! When our family talks about that day, the focus is on two points: 1) how ‘us’ the wedding was, and 2) how impressed they were with Karly. She went out of her way to research with us, and when we decided on some potential locations in the National Park went out of her way UNPROMPTED to hike the locations ahead of schedule. We had a relatively unconventional day, and used the information she gathered from physically going to the location, took video and pictures, and then helped build us out a timeline that worked seamlessly! Everything timed out perfectly, and we were never feeling rushed and we had the best time. We had beautiful weather, but it rained on the bracketing days and Karly had a plan for that too. We had the most perfect sunset golden hour ceremony, and toasting pictures. She thought to capture all the little moments for us in between (the details in our outfits, the candid moments, the kids having fun and being goofy, and even scenery that came up in discussion along the trail). We genuinely can’t wait for my next ‘life’ moment so we can hire her again, and couldn’t recommend her enough!

Karly did an amazing job capturing our engagement and wedding photos. She’s flexible and worked with us to capture photos outside at night and inside in a dimly lit venue. I also love that we were able to include our dog in the engagement photos. I like her style of photos which includes a lot of candids and natural poses. She offers various packages that work for small and large weddings. Highly recommend to others!

Karly was the first vendor we hired on our wedding planning journey, and she was fantastic!! Karly is reliable, trustworthy, and really easy to communicate with. She really understood the vibe I wanted for our wedding and made that vision come through with every photo. Couldn't recommend her enough!!!
