Do we host more than one event per day?

We do not host more than one event per day to prevent overlap and ensure all spaces are tidy by the time of your arrival.

Do you offer tours of the venue? How do I schedule one?

-We are open to the public on Tuesdays & Fridays from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM -You may also schedule a 1-hour appointment to view the facility Monday–Friday between 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM. To schedule an appointment, please call Town Center Hall at (562)-863-4896. Office Hours are Monday - Friday.

How far in advance can I book my event?

-Residents can book up to 1 year in advance from the event date -Non-Residents can book up to 9 months in advance from the event date

What is required to reserve my date?

Accepted Answer

A non-refundable $1,000 down payment is required upon the submission of your application to secure your date. Applications can be submitted online at Santafesprings.gov or in person at Town Center Hall.

All final payments are due 30 days prior to your event date.

We accept payments over the phone at (562)-863-4896 or in person at Town Center Hall with tap, card, cash, and checks.

What is your cancellation or refund policy?

Accepted Answer

-Deposit/Down Payment will be held if cancellation takes place less than 6-months of event date. A $100 non-refundable fee will be charged for event cancellation between 6-months to 1-year of event date. -All cancellations must be conducted in person with picture ID, or in writing via email from the email address on file; otherwise, Renter’s deposit/down payment will not be refunded.

Do you accept tips?

Per City Policy, City Employees are not permitted to accept gratuities or gifts of any kind.

Can we customize the room layout or floor plan?

Accepted Answer

Clarke Estate office staff will contact you approximately 45 days prior to your event date to schedule a Room Diagram appointment to create a custom layout for your event and ensure every detail is just as you envision.

Are linens & Cutlery included?

No. Unfortunately the Clarke Estate does not provide those items.

Do you provide staff to assist with setup or cleanup?

All clean-up is the responsibility of the applicant and their team as outlined in the signed contract. Such as the disposal of trash, decorative materials and clean-up of outdoor rented spaces which include the suites, bathrooms, and kitchen.

What are the noise or curfew restrictions?

All music and events must end at 10pm due to a noise ordinance in place.

Pets are welcome at the Clarke Estate for Ceremonies only.

Smoking is permitted in the designated smoking areas only.

If using outside rental equipment, a $1,000,000 Certificate of Liability Insurance is required, listing the City of Santa Fe Springs (11710 E. Telegraph Rd., Santa Fe Springs, CA 90670) as additional insured by the Vendor or Renter. Due 45 days before the event.

Do you have an in-house caterer or a preferred vendor list?

Unfortunately, we do not have an in-house caterer, although we do have an approved list of vendors you may select from to assist with your planning process.

Can we bring our own caterer?

Please note per our rental policy, you may select your own caterer; however, if they are not on the approved list, the renter is subject to a 10% catering fee for all food vendors.

Do you have a kitchen or prep area available for caterers?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Your caterers have full kitchen access equipped with amenities such as stove, oven, microwave, tray warms, two industrial refrigerators, one industrial freezer, ice Machine, dishwashing station, and washing machine & dryer.

Are there restrictions on types of alcohol (beer, wine, hard liquor)?

No, although all alcoholic beverages must be served out of plastic cups even if it’s bottled or canned.

Do we need to hire a licensed bartender?

If you plan to serve alcohol, a licensed bartender MUST be selected from our Clarke Estate approved list.

Can we bring in our own vendors (DJ, florist, photographer, etc.)?

Accepted Answer

Yes. you are more than welcome to select a vendor of your choosing, although, please keep in mind that if you plan to serve alcohol a Bartender MUST be selected from our approved Clarke Estate list. In addition, you may select your own caterer as well, however, if they are not on the approved list, the renter is subject to a 10% catering fee per food vendor. *Note: At this current time the DJ must be selected off of the Clarke Estate's approved list. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Are there noise restrictions or music curfews?

-All music must stop at 10pm the latest. -Mariachi and Live bands with a group of 5 members maximum are permitted. -Live music cannot be amplified due to a noise ordinance in place.

Can we hang décor from walls or ceilings?

Accepted Answer

-You are not permitted to drive nails, hooks, tacks, pins, screws, poles, stakes, tape, glue dots, glue, adhesives, or other forms of fasteners into any part of the facility and shall not make or allow to be made any alterations of any kind therein. -All decorations must be free-standing and remain unattached from any part of the facility.

Do you allow confetti, sparklers, or bubbles?

The use of confetti, sparklers, rice, faux flower petals, smoke, fog machines, bubble machines and piñatas, are NOT allowed.

-Appointments can be made Monday - Friday, from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM. -Room Diagram Appointments: 1-hour time slot. -Rehearsal Appointments: 1-hour time slot

Yes. The Clarke Estate is equipped with ramps throughout the venue seamless access to each space for your guests and vendors.

Are tents or shade structures allowed or available to rent?

Accepted Answer

The Clarke Estate does not permit the use of tenting at this time. Only umbrellas. In the event of rain, and with supervisor approval, you may set up 10x40 canopies. They must not be staked into the ground and must be installed and removed within your scheduled setup times.

How do you handle inclement weather?

-Proceeding at the Clarke Estate: You may set up 10x40 canopies to keep your guests covered, provided they are not staked into the ground or cause any damage to the property. -Changing Venues: We can discuss relocating your event to another facility if available. We are unable to accommodate splitting the event between both venues. -Rescheduling or Cancelling: You may also choose to reschedule your event to a later date. Alternatively, if you prefer to cancel altogether prior to your event date, we can issue a full refund.
