Through my love of journalism, I discovered that photography wasn’t just about documenting events—it was about connecting with people, telling stories, and capturing emotion in a way words simply couldn’t. It was during my college years that I also met my husband—we worked together at a coffee shop. Now, years later, we still start our days with a quiet cup of coffee, soaking in those simple, meaningful moments. That’s what I bring into my work as a wedding photographer: a deep appreciation for both the big, emotional milestones and the small, fleeting moments that make your love story yours.

I've been photographing weddings full time since 2011. When I'm not chasing after wedding parties, my husband and I live to travel. We're avid scuba divers, love exploring, and get overly excited when we find a new brewery or speakeasy. We met at the University of Michigan and we stayed in Ann Arbor because it felt too much like home to leave.

Hey, Im Jarrett and im an utterly hopeless romantic. Before photography, I had my career goals set for becoming a head chef at a restaurant in NYC. However, in 2010 I had an idea that would change my life forever. I decided to take a leap of faith, I walked into a local wedding photography studio and asked for a chance to become an intern. The position was of course unpaid, 10:00 am - 5:00 pm, and long weekend hours. I worked there everyday and every weekend honing my craft and paying my dues into an amazing art form that would become my food, dreams, and air.

I'm Melissa: Melissa means "honey bee' in Greek and I have 8 honey bees tattooed across my back. I love movies, daydreaming, leftover Chinese take out and being married. I'm addicted to learning new things and take online classes all the time. I LOVE to make mixes and I'm always updating a running playlist of songs that I'm listening to - some I love, some old favorites, and some that I want to hear again before I make a decision.
