From the very first planning conversation to the final moments of the wedding reception, everything was handled with professionalism, grace, and genuine care. The setting itself is beautiful--the water views, the light pouring through the windows, the way the space feels both elegant and welcoming at the same time. It creates instant magic before you even add flowers or décor. But what truly sets this venue apart is the team. Kristan Hughes is exceptional. She is calm under pressure, incredibly organized, and deeply invested in making sure every detail is executed flawlessly. Her communication was clear, her guidance was thoughtful, and her presence on the wedding day allowed everyone (especially the bride and groom) to relax and be fully present. Her team operates like a well-oiled machine. Service was seamless, transitions were smooth, and every question was handled quickly and kindly. You can tell they take enormous pride in what they do. The food was outstanding, the pacing was perfect, and the overall experience felt effortless, which we all know is the result of tremendous behind-the-scenes work. If you are considering The Boathouse at Sunday Park for your wedding or special event, do not hesitate. It is a spectacular venue supported by an extraordinary team. And SO MUCH is included in the price. We are so grateful… and will definitely be back!

The communication with the venue was wonderful - they were very quick to respond to any questions or requests we had. The venue itself was incredible, with lots of space for our wedding party to get ready and stay, and beautiful outdoor and indoor spaces for the ceremony and reception. Ashton, the owner, was amazing to work with and always responded quickly to our questions. We were able to visit the venue several times before the big day, which really helped us plan the perfect setup. On the day of, the staff was very accommodating and there for whatever we needed, but also gave us the space to do what we wanted. We recently got married at Gala 417, and the entire experience was fantastic! The venue is absolutely breathtaking, and our guests couldn’t stop raving about how stunning everything was. Working with the Gala 417 team, especially Sarah and Lyndsey, made the planning process enjoyable and stress-free. They were incredibly responsive and attentive, always quick to answer questions and ensure that our wedding day vision came to life in a way that felt uniquely ours. Lyndsey, our day-of coordinator, was amazing! She handled everything flawlessly throughout the morning and early afternoon, and we truly appreciated how well-organized and professional she was. Even though there were a couple of small bumps after her departure, such as the DJ needing a reminder for speeches, and a few of our selected beer options running out earlier than expected, the staff still managed to keep everything running smoothly. To future brides, I would recommend clearly emphasizing any specific beverage preferences during your catering and blueprint meetings if you or your guests have favorites to avoid any disappointments. We were especially excited about the food after trying it at our catering meeting—it was delicious, and we even bragged to our guests about it! However, on the day of the wedding, the food served was bland and inconsistently prepared. We had requested steaks to be cooked medium, but after the fact, many of our guests shared that their filets ranged from rare to well-done, with some even mentioning gristle or fat in the cut—which shouldn’t happen with a filet. This was a bit disappointing, especially considering how much we were looking forward to the meal. Overall, Gala 417 went above and beyond to make our wedding day truly unforgettable. We would absolutely recommend this venue to future couples—between the gorgeous space and the dedication of the staff, our wedding was everything we dreamed of and more. We are so grateful to the entire Gala 417 team for making our day so special!

My husband and I cannot say enough about The Boathouse at Rocketts Landing! From the first tour back in August 2024 until our wedding in November 2025, they were absolutely fantastic. We worked with Bonnie initially, but Alli was our official day of coordinator. The price is worth it for everything you get - venue, staff, food, bar, setup, and so much more. Alli and her staff were amazing every step of the way, and they truly made our wedding day as special, easy, and memorable it could be. The photos I am attaching are from Ivy and Lace Photo!

Because of the size of our wedding (185 guests), we didn't have a ton of options to look into. We loved the vibe of ACV so we went with it, but once we got going with putting it all together we were blown away. Throughout the entire process they were helpful, informative and receptive to what we wanted on the day. And the day of could not have been better, and we received plenty of compliments on the venue and everything around our day! Huge thanks to the event planner, coordinators (Wilde Poppy!), and staff it was as good as we could ask for! -Ada and Carter
