I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Graphic Design, I’ve shot over 100 weddings in my lifetime and I've been in business for 6 years! Ever since I was a little kid, I’ve been obsessed over the beauty of light + nature. But I never felt like I could express myself until I found photography. Just ask my mom what a pissed off 5-year-old looks like when she can’t accurately draw what she sees! I filled endless sketchbooks, trying to portray the world as I saw it. In middle school I discovered photography when I first picked up a point and shoot camera, and I never put it down. I FINALLY had a way of showing and sharing with others how I saw in the world! Now as a wedding photographer, I help couples see and relive their day through galleries full of artistry + storytelling.

I plan for the worst and love way too hard but that's why I would do anything for my clients. VIDART's chief photographer studied at Columbia for film and U of I for foreign languages and philosophy, and went to Loyola for graduate studies. He worked at Lyric Opera of Chicago filming operas before joining VIDART. He is the author of the college textbook Cinematography 101, and has worked with John de Lancie (Q in Star Trek: TNG) on the science documentary The Reality of Time. Michael has also worked on the sets of over a dozen other feature films. He has handled the photography and videography for several thousand weddings and events, including work for clients such as Microsoft, Amazon, Macy’s, Sysco and more.
